Mech plays like an assault mech. Hits very hard with it's gauss+vomit combination. It can also be run on the 6R, but loses a little DPS from the lower ballistic cooldown quirk. Being a ST build, all the mounts are high which is an advantage over any other mech that can fit this loadout. Felt extremely good for a slow/ranged build. XL255 is the slowest I'd go with the chassis though, at range that is and post-speedtweak.

i wouldn't put all the gauss ammo in the legs. put 2 tons in the CT 1 ton in the head, and half a ton in each leg to minimize the chance of yer leg being shot off and losing half yer ammo with 1 swoop :)

You can put it anywhere except the arms. Really won't matter for this type of build. If you get legged at range, you weren't using cover how you should with this mech being high-torso mounted.

The biggest thing it would prevent is, for some reason, you get legged near the start of the match at long range somehow... not a common thing. If you have ammo in your torso's and your torso gets crit early, it has the potential to destroy that gauss ammo. Sure, it won't explode, but it is more likely to get destroyed via crits in your torsos than in your legs.

Either way, something bad could happen to that ammo, it all comes down to what you see happen more often for yourself.

But yeah, you can definitely just move 2 tons to your CT and 1 ton to your head. If anything, the head slot should always have ammo in it.

    Hot damn! I love.

Putting it in the head does not help much since HD ammo is used first.
Fact: us old farts tend to be lazy with things like armor placement and gauss ammo placement, since it is mostly personal style.

For solo queue, I've dropped leg armor for another ton of ammo, feels perfect now. Distributed ammo better considering it's much easier to lose a leg.

I've lost a leg once out of several matches due to LURMS, but honestly I think i would have lost the leg anyway.

Had many 900 point games, finally broke 1k though on Polar.

Absolutely. It's a fantastic Solo queue build in general. You're basically an Assault build that can run ~10KPH faster than the fastest assault mechs even with such a minimal XL255.

Extremely consistent mech for Solo play. Probably going to be my primary money-maker with the Cbill Bonus.

was struggling to get into the top 100 with single Guass/ med pulse build, now comfortably within the 50 (but will have to fight to stay there of course)

thanks for the great build once again Solahma

absolutely has to be the 5 tonnes of ammo though.. constantly running out before hitting the 1k club

    5/5,
Excelent build for FP. It can work in QP, but it depends on map and if your team does not nascar.

Excelent damage application at range: 48 damage at range with an optimal range of 700+ meters are VERY scary for a 70 tonner.

With new tech, you can mount light ferro fibrous and a slightly faster XL265

Only 4 tons of ammo feel to few, though. Stripping head and legs for an additional ton of ammo is a thing too, even if risky.

    5/5,
Wonderful build, but it is now strictly better here on the Black Widow instead of the 6R because the 6R ballistic quirk has been removed and the BW benefits from 10% energy range.
