RVN-3L Mythweaver's Raven (1 MLas, 1 MPLas, 1 SSRM, ECM, BAP, TAG)
This 'Mech is my absolute favorite. With it's Speed and Manouverabilty it just seems to flow across the field. Even though it seems to be lacking in firepower it is very seldom that I finish a match without at least one kill, often many more. Tag makes it possible to achieve some really silly numbers for XP when targetting for an experienced LRM Boater and the ECM suite makes you an asset to any team.
A lot of people believe this 'Mech is broken due to ECM and the 'Mythical' Lag Shield; after piloting one for so long now I have found that with practice they are as easy to kill as any other 'Mech. I have created Medium 'mechs to this end and Enjoy Hunting and Killing these machines more than any other task out there.

I use this build except I have 2 ML and 11 heat sinks. One thing I suggest is moving the BAP and GECM to the right torso. That way if you get a crit in that torso Its only a 1 in 4 chance of hitting the GECM.

Thanks for the advice. I have never lost ECM to a crit, and I rely on BAP alot so I'd rather lose ECM anyway. Gathering information and maintaining Target Lock is more important than being invisible to Radar. IMHO

Today I had the best match I've ever had in a light 'Mech, in this Raven. At the end of the battle I had racked up 5 kills and 810 points of damage. I am not trying to brag, I just want to show the effectiveness of this build. I'm sure there are people pulling these numbers all of the time but this was a first for me. I usually average between 500-600 Damage, pretty average I'm sure.

It's like you went to the buffet of mech parts for this one! I don't like getting too fancy, I prefer to keep my build simple. If I have MLs, I don't have MPLs, and vice versa. I am a firm believer in the KISS principle, and I figure when I push a button, I basically want everything that happens as a result to be the same, and I only have 3 buttons that are easy to hit. That, and I think the TAG isn't as useful anymore (but the build came before the LRM nerf). Overall a good build, but not my cupa.

That's cool, we are all different, to some degree, in our approach. With so much of the tactics in this game being a matter of taste it is great that we can all come together and offer guidance and hope to the new and old alike.
I mix the Med.PLaser with the Med.Laser because range isn't an issue. All of my engagements with this 'mech take place well within the max range of both weapons. As far as all of the electronics etc... I like to be prepared. Also, LRM's will be fixed in the future, this is an ongoing development, they will never be useless.

I've seen you play it, and you play it well. I'm planning on using a 280 XL on my 3L when I get around to it (I already have a 280 XL, so it's like 5 million cheaper than using a 285 or 295), and I'm actually debating between a 3ML combination using 11 DHS+3 tons ammo or 12 DHS+2 tons ammo...but I'm thinking Tag+2xMPL and maybe half ton armor less is going to be my sweet spot. (Of course, 2xSSRM2 in all these builds).
When looking at the armor values in my builds, ignore the front/back distribution on torsos. I just click "max armor" on smurfy's and tweak down from there to get to the expected value on each component.

Thanks for the compliment, I'm pretty average as far as piloting goes. I think it is attitude (believing I'm invincible) and luck that usually carry the day for me. I think your plan looks excellent as far as 3L's go; post it and I'll say as much on your thread.
