Because clanner mech can't fire 3xLPL without ghostheat, your own LPL have shorter range and clanners doesn't have the tech (at least yet) for the Heavy Gauss, so you need to hugh both to comfort them and to fully apply your damage.

Jokes aside, with this build you are trying to have a nice pin-point mid-short range brawler, with the stopping power of a 2xGauss - 5xERML build Mauler but the same speed and way better tank.

And before going on, you are NOT a brawler. This build is meant to be effective in those maps where range could be an issue but you will likely have the chance to get closer or the chance to fire a couple of shots before being enough close for your LPL to be effective and your HGauss to apply most of its damage (it does deal the same as a standard Gauss at lesser than 450-500 meters).

You can fully take advantage of the laser quirks and they also have the nice addition of pinpoint damage thanks to...

Options to fit your style:

1. Drop 1t ammo from SRM, since they aren't your main source of damage, more like backup when you need that extra 'oomph'. Add to armor.

2. Switch SRM to SSRM, in which case 1t ammo is enough.
With the remainder 2t you can either:
2.a. get lots of more armor
2.b. AMS and 0,5t armor.

Personally I find the current iteration to fit me the best. It's just pure joy how many LLAS you can keep firing, and when you look for next target your heat will just plummet. I think this build needs those SRM to fight properly against other assaults, just remember to soften them up on range where you shine. If I could think if way to get one more ton, I'd up the other SRM4 to 6, since you do have the slots, but I just can't find anything to drop anymore.

I love pulse lasers, especially the large ones. Thump, thump, thump. Thump, thump, thump.

While the Large Pulse Lasers and have had in increase in heat, they have also had a slight bump in damage as well. Then with the ghost heat, makes Blue Thunder even harder to play.

You can alpha strike with the 'Mech, once and it is no advised. But pairing them up and using them that way, you can sustain a good rate of fire with the 'mech.

Try to keep enemies at about 500m and this build shines. Up close start launching SRMs. Don't forget to torso twist - its better to lose an some weaponry than lose all your weaponry by being dead. Even if you lose a whole side remember you can still support your team by drawing fire.

The LLas range module is a neat addition but I find this build is too hot if you try to run LLas Cooldown as well. Cool Shot 9 is essential. Ideally you will have 9x9 and Cool Boost.

Reasoning:

Using LLas takes advantage of the 15% range and cooldown quirks.
