It took a long time to figure out how to find the best vomit laser build on this chassis without having to fall back to my previous 5xERLL sniper version (which is still VERY valid despite being hot, though) or 2xLL + 6xERML... The trick was to actually fit a 3rd LL instead of a 5th and 6th ERML, so in the end I'm pretty confident I finally found the best vomit laser build to fully exploit slot layout and hardpoints.

Anyway, classic vomit laser build with very high right side hard point and high to low hardpoints on the left side.

Build has been built as symmetric as possible alpha-wise, but you can fit an asymmetric version to maximum exploit high hardpoints and to prevent losing the better LL compared to ERML if you plan to shield and lose your left side (despite LL being way worse when comparing DPS/damage to weight ratio)

More asymmetric version (and...

So while 9x MPLas is tempting, I think that it would be outclassed by the 5SS in almost every way except for Alphas. As such, going with standard lasers seems to be a decent option as you can fit in quite a few due to the weight savings. Similar Alpha to the 9x MPLas, but with much better range, though worse burn time. LLas go in the right shoulder to take advantage of the highest hardpoints.

This is a little hot, so 3x LLas + 5x MLas might be an acceptable alternate and you can squeeze in a STD280 and a bit more armor.

50 Damage alpha which matches the meta. This build puts that out twice before needing to cool down. It's happy to hill peak with two shoulder mounted cockpit level LPL for ultra low exposure profile poke. All weapons converge at ~450M with skills and TC1. LPL runs nearly heat neutral on most maps for continued dps if forced into a high heat non-poke brawl.

As a solo 1v1 brawl platform I frequently put MCII-DS in the ground by using a coolant flush, and aiming for ct with 3 alphas and 1 LPL volley.
One of my favorite IS builds. 42pt alpha, only 6pts shy of max armor, shield arms, 19 doubles and excellent cooling efficiency at 41%. This is a sustained damage juggernaut. Typically 3 full alphas on most maps before shutdown.
No ghost heat, no fear! The great structure and armor quirks on this mech make it VERY XL friendly. Sure, you can go standard engine and use those same quirks to enable God Mode and never die... But where the hell's the fun in that???

XL300 allows for three. COUNT 'EM! THREE LPLs! With Energy range quirks, that's about 380m of 33 point burnination trailing off to an effective range of about 575m.

Then... They get close... 57 point alpha of dubstep death! Fire a couple alphas, then use your SPLs for a near endless stream of 24pt knife cuts. GINSU STYLE!

I was loving this mech on Sunday. Simply hilarious. Best purchase I've made in MWO in a long time.
