Mechwarriors, Prove your Allegiance [CW Event]

So they have created the first CW only weekend event.

To get 1 event point you must:

• Play CW (Invasion or Counter Attack)
• Get a match score of 80

You can earn:

• 5 Event Points = 3 Days Active Premium Time
• 10 Event Points = .50 Cal Necklace Hanging Item
• 15 Event Points = Dog Tags Hanging Item
• 20 Event Points = 1 'Mech of your choice: a Thunderbolt TDR-9SE Champion or a Stormcrow SCR-PRIME

Spoiler: Important Guff

• Once you achieve 20 Event Points, you will have until April 2nd at 10 AM PDT to choose your 'Mech Reward.
• All 'Mech choices are final.
• Premium Time acquired from this event will be automatically activated once rewarded.
• This Event applies to both Solo and Group Community Warfare queues.
• You need to play Invasion or Counter-Attack game modes in Community Warfare to qualify.
• No opt-in required.

Seems reasonable.

lol I will keep my TDR, for it is a champion mech! (And I already have the SCR-Prime.)

 

Hmm, already have both, but you would get a lot more money selling off the SCR-Prime chassis than you would for the TDR-9SE chassis. Selling off the odd-duck STD315 engine would even it up, though I think the SCR would still be more.

I would have personally liked them to offer a Champion for a less common mech like the Trebuchet, Kintaro, or Quickdraw, which would help people on the fence to by those chassis.

 

I love my TDR-9SE, but, I don't need a GXP earner... I'd rather a variant that has a C-Bill bonus... The Crow it is!

However, if I can manage to get online enough this weekend for 20 (or 25) CW matches... that's a lot of time... I'd be PUMPED to get my first SCR! I've wanted one since they were released, but DAAAAAAMN are they expensive!

Still, a much better event than they've had in the past! They continue to improve player involvement through their sponsored events. MUCH better than in the past!

 

Do all the primes have the C-Bill bonus or just the Invasion (I) Primes? I am afraid this one might not get the bonus.

 

Pretty sure it's only for Invasion, Wave 2 and soon, Wave 3 Primes.

 

It's only the ones we get through packs. Not these in contests. It's just the prime variant.

 

The SCRs were on sale for 45% off during the first weekend they had been released. I had enough CBills saved to buy two, then sold off a bunch of redundant unused STD engines to pick up the third . Spent about 19 Mill for all three which was pretty nice since they didn't need any further upgrades.

 

Just finished buying 3 crows too. Oh well, a 4th crow isn't a bad thing to have.

 

If the SCR-Prime has the 30% cbills, I might be tempted to take it instead of the TDR, and sell off my non-bonus SCR. If there's no bonus, it's TDR all the way!

Too bad I'll end up solo for most CW matches overnight

 

Okay, so I just checked my inventory and here are the sell prices for the mechs. This doesn't include equipment, since I always assume most of that will be kept.

SCR-Prime

• Chassis - 3,628,452 (this is for the SCR-C since I've already sold off the Prime, but they're very similar)
• Omnipods - 975,352
• Total - 4,603,804

TDR-9SE

• Chassis - 1,288,590
• Engine - 966,000
• Total - 2,254,590

So if you already own both and want to sell it off, the SCR-Prime is a much better option, even if you wanted to keep the second set of Prime omnipods. If you wanted to keep that STD315 engine for some reason, it would still make more sense to buy the SCR, sell everything off, then buy the engine with the proceeds.

 

I strongly believe it won't have. The crow would have to be the Prime(I) variant.

 

It would be like giving away an hero mech, forget the 30% cbills bonus.

I'd love to get the TDR since I don't have any and my IS heavy collection is lackluster, but 20 CW matches are a lot.

 

We'll see how much time I have this weekend. (Need to farm the new Volt Prime Warframe as well )

That's why we can't gift them though as it makes alts easy and takes away potential income streams for them...

yeah, I forgot..I must be getting old..I only run ONE account for anything..games, library, FB...

I got some codes (customer serviced boned me and part of the fix were codes) I gave them away in the MWO forum, then, the Devs spotted it, gave me 3-4 week long premium codes and some more mechbays....
it cost me NOTHING to dangle the bait for new players...been playing two years, I'd hate to see it fade
