5/5, Just to complement your post - my first win in a Linebacker was with this mech: Needless to say a short to medium range brawling nascar map with a lot of heat.
only change I would make is give it a B L/T and move the PPCs in to the torsos. try the use the arms as shields the best you can. granted it makes it harder to take out UAVs. it also puts the PPCs up higher so you don't have to expose your self as much.
This takes away the 20% ERPPC velocity from the 8/8 quirk set, though. BTW, why don't you do a right-sided peeker? Fully actuated arm-PPC as a bonus.
I've seen a couple like that. I like the dead siding and peeping but not sure as those mounts end up at very different heights.
I consider unquirked PPCs nothing less than a complete waste of tonnage. Even though I agree the highplaced cannons would be nice, similar the the HBK-IIC I opt for LPL or erLL in those cases. Because of the aforementioned reason.
5/5, I've been playing this build for weeks! Best LBK-Prime build I've played, I've been averaging about 350-400 points a game with this.
5/5, Thanks for this obvious build, I just got my linebacker last night, I find myself loving fast mechs so this Line backer was an "obvious" choice I should have made a while ago. I was struggling to find a right build for it, I tried an ATM support build, LRM build (due to the quirks), Laser vomit, but my other mechs fill those rolls a bit better so I came here for some ideas and found this thread ... DUH!!! The Prime was meant for PPCs, heck it came with em I've been wanting a fast dual ERPPC sniper, but was looking at lights (Adder, Cougar) and mediums for that roll, didn't dawn on me to use this fast heavy, heck this mech is faster than the cougar PPC build I was thinking of getting. Thanks for the "Obvious" mang I normally toss stock builds, however in this Prime mech PPCs just make sense. 5 Stars
