"That's not a lot of armor." - Stock Hellbringer Pilot How good is your positioning? Can you utilize ECM to avoid being hit? Can you sneak up within 270 meters of your target and unleash the burning power of the sun to melt your opponents under a barrage of ATM fire? As much as I would like to run mobility skill points (87 kph+), I feel like the there are better things out there in Fire Power, Cooling, and Sensors. Although this is a change of pace/personal challenge type of mech, preliminary results were positive. One mistake and you are scrap. There is enough armor to brush off a partial strike or one glancing shot and remain highly operational. But that is about it. Choose your camo carefully. Test Runs Spoiler
But ... you're matching up weapons that require you being within 270 meters with an ECM that won't shield you anymore once you're within 200ish meters.
If you are willing to go full Krev, you can reach unprecedented levels of fire power at 81 kph. More ammo and more cooling. No tag. But that tag can bring unwanted attention sometimes. _
What I expected. Not what I expected. I did use half a ton on armor and ran out of ammo on the Flea at the end. I legged him and someone else finished him immediately after. Spoiler Have ECM, so dropped the probe. Added 1/2 ton of faux armor to avoid instant recognition of no armor. _
I'm gonna have to grab another SunSpooder to try this crack on. It looks hilarious to run, as far as I'm concerned.
Maybe buy a SNS-C? _ What are the chances you survive long enough to get fire seven salvos (8 with skills)? (3x12 +5 ghost heat, then 3x9 no GH = 53 heat)
Bought a SNS-C. Stock camo, no skill points, immediately stripped all equipment and armor to install 3xATM12 and 3xATM9. IS AMAZING. SO MUCH PLAYABILITY. until you get shot at once. Maybe twice if you're lucky. First game with it. *EDIT* It really isn't as warm as I expected it to be. Can easily salvo 3x12 followed by 3x9 and still have room to chainfire. On a hot map, with no skills at all.
