Casual KFX-C "Prosecco Extra Dry" (2xcLPL, TC1) + omniset

    Named after my friend Pro Secco, this time with another end-game light build


    Most notable quirks:
    • +10% range
    • +10% energy range
    • -10% energy heat
    • -10% energy cooldown
    • +7.5% heat dissipation
    • Lots of additional armor and structure
    Clan LPLs with ~760 meters optimal range full skill, coupled with ECM (!), cooldown and heat quirks...

    If you can position correctly, the quirks will greatly help to win most trades and the key is to use it like you would with sniper: ~760 meters optimal range means you can fire at ~800-900 meters, but despite your slight decrease in damage, you will take little to no damage in return. You can easily win all trades against other clan LPLs / vomit laser / dakka build, even ERLL will struggle against you if they can't aim you properly. The only builds that should worry you are fast mechs (because maybe you won't be able to leg them in time) and snipers with gausses, because they can easily ruin your day with 30 damage pinpoint.

    IMHO, it's an extremely annoying harasser with lot of potential and great damage application at range. I'm almost always top damage and if you GTFO before the enemy will reach your sniper nest, you can keep on harass the enemy team and/or force them to a bad spot.

    Basically: move in the outskirts but at dakka range of your own team, poke untill someone is so annoyed to either keep a constant eye on you (and stop poking him, so you are forcing him to waste his own DPS watching the cover you are hidden behind) or pushes you, then reposition to force him out of the nascar. Rinse and repeat.

    The ONLY big downside are the quite low hardpoints and asymmetric build, but it can really punch hard when left unchecked.

    Recommended skill tree: almost max heatgen, get most armor nodes, max ECM and seismic sensors, almost maxed coolrun, finally a bit of acceleration / deceleration

    This build would benefit immensely from the Purifier torsos.

    To be fair, no.

    If you can position correctly, the quirks will greatly help to win most fight and the key is to use it like you would with sniper: +20% range means you can fire a bit out of your optimal range and take little to no damage in return. This means that you can fire at 800 meters (a bit above your optimal range) and win trades against other clan LPLs / vomit laser / dakka build. The only builds that should worry you are fast mechs (because maybe you won't be able to leg them in time) and snipers with gausses or PPCs, because they can easily ruin your day if you are inside their crosshair.

    UPDATED original post. So far, this build is really nasty in the right hands, but it requires a lot of situational awareness, cold blood and willing to stay out of reach to be fully effective. 400+ damage per round guaranteed, with an average of 600 damage and peaks of 900 damage... Unless you screw up your positioning (I got killed by a boom chicken) or your teams melts faster than usual.
