    Origin:
When I finally got my a$$ up to level CDAs because of the double-XP weekend, I stumbled upon Enileph's 'Fire and Brimstone' build for that poor CDA-3C. And what a sweet little mech this is. Not a typical CDA, but a very nimble, but potent fire support mech and sniper at only 40 tons.

Well, I did what he said, and the result is a pretty powerful little mech. Simple and straight forward. I love it, being that small and humble, but easily resembling half the firepower of a Highlander, all the while still moving at more than 110 kph. With an own ECM Bubble.

Some notes about the loadout and gameplay:
    - Hang back with the team, provide ECM cover and do your sniper thing.
    - Long range pinpoint damage + ECM is very strong. Just cored a LRM Catapult on River City, and I bet he never knew where I was.
    - Fighting lights is tough, but if HR works you've got a pretty good chance not only to scare him off, but to kill him. This isn't easy, though. It's usually better to run for your mates if you're hunted by a light.
    - Ammo seems to be a bit low on paper, but I have yet to run dry in 12 vs. 12.

All I have to say now is: Thanks, Enileph! ^_^

Well done! I'm glad to see a good sniper build for this mech, but It's still a bit too slow for my tastes. 4-5

Added some screenshots. All but the last one where taken before I completed the elite skills.

Yeah, I was hesistant about the low engine rating in a CDA at first. Try to look at it this way: don't try to resemble a Light, but think as a medium supporter. Stick with other Mediums, provide ECM for your team's missile boats and kill things with your pinpoint damage. The speed is still fine for capping bases when the big clash is over and dust starts to settle a bit. As you can see from the screens this thing just works.

I am actually flatterd that someone would upgrade my build into something even more interesting!
Well, technically a Cicada is a medium... in this build you would use it like a fast medium, for fire support and team protection. It is actually a plus that enemy sees you as "just a cicada" so you can sit back at the corner providing ECM umbrella and taking powerful potshots at engagine enemies.

Just remember that you are a sniper, and you should always be on the move and reposition yourself after a few shots, which should be easy due to your relatively high speed (when compared to mediums not lights).

Just remember that by being a 3M is is a more viable target for the enemies than a 3C, cause of the ECM. Beware of enemy lights (the rest you can easily outrun, and you are screwed anyways if a streaking kintaro is hunting you... I build those streaker KTO-19 series for these reasons... ).

I'm also sorry for poking an old thread, but I was wondering what people thought about trying to fit in a TAG on this. Worth it? How would you fit it in?

    Here's what I was thinking:

    (apologies for the terrible format)

--EDIT by mod: fixed format, please read the FAQ :)

Without looking at the build I can pretty much assure that -while it would be a nice utility addition- you simply can't spare another ton on this build for a TAG.
