My favorite build on this Mech. 18 (!) DHS for fast cool down. You can snipe with dual PPC, and if Enemies close in you can groupfire your Lasers. Just dont Alpha all the time, but fire in Weapongroups for different Ranges to keep your Machine cool. 1. PPCs (Sniping) 2. LLs (Mid Range) 3. MLs (Defense against Lights) 4. Alphastrike (only for heavily damaged Enemies) Alternative with LLAs in the Arm: Blagg
I've build this build after much experimenting. I didn't know you had already posted it, but this build works quite well. 5-5 stars for me.
Looks pretty solid. Max speed, uses all hardpoints, AMS, near max armour, decent heat efficiency, and neatly avoids any heat tax. I can't see how you'd do much better on this chassis, so I guess it has gotta be full stars!
I run the exact same build and it works well. 5/5 from me. The video above is with basic skills 8/8 during a solo pug drop.
I used this build to grind the Awesomes. I think it's the best you can do on this variant, it's very well optimized, but still I didn't like it. Too slow, too fragile. Anyway, on mine I placed the LLs on the arm, to keep all the MLs in the same group.
This is my preferred go-to build on this Mech, and I love it. I definitely suggest the LLasers in the arms, though, to make use of when Lights come a callin'. The PPCs will be less useful at that point.
For me too, this is the best set up i have seen for this mech so far. Really awesome (derp) build. Armor and heat buff make the mech almost useful Trick for me was to go easy with the PPCs one the fight gets closer. 18 Double heat sinks + heat bonus + armor bonus make those lasers extra dangerous. I do run the LL in the arm like in the OP blagg. Prefer to have the 3 mediums in one group for better aiming.
I like this build. I find I need to not spearhead as much as I do (the PPCs and LLs make for good mid-range weapons), but when I do charge in something dies. And then I die. I've taken out a crab 1v1 with this thing, just because of that massive amount of pinpoint and lack of ghost heat. I actually managed to flank the enemy team in this on Tourmaline while they were engaged with my team. Wrecked someone in the back and utterly destroyed him before anyone could discover me, then slinked away and rejoined my team. I love flanking in an assault.
