I am personally very surprised by the Ghost Heat link for Gauss Rifles and PPC! The meta builds have been targeted specifically for a nerf (and you could even make it lore friendly, that the magnetic coils of the Gauss Rifle interfere with PPCs). Definitely weirded out by that one, as I fear they may lose many competitive players. But also happy for more variety in builds.
I'm afraid that if you are a competitive player in this game, you are to far gone... but as for the patch, Light Fusion Engines. The Best.
A couple eyebrow raises there: Inner Sphere ER PPC • Velocity increased to 1900 (from 1300). Almost a 50% increase... So much for incremental balance changes. Changes to Enhanced Coolshot Boost provided from Enhanced Coolshot Nodes has been reduced to 15% per Node (down from 25%). Enhanced Coolshot Design Notes: With the original Enhanced Coolshot providing a bit too much in the realm of benefit when it came down to cost-benefit ratio, this change aims to bring the skill investment a bit more in line with the node count cost needed to max out Coolshot-based skills. So coolshot is performing too well, but double air strike did not get touched? More nerfs for lasers - really feels like they are trying hard to make the new lasers look attractive. Yay, finally! • Clan and IS UAC Weaponry: Fixed an issue where weapon jams could occur when holding down the fire button.
Completely read over the ERPPC velocity change. I guess it gives more incentive to equip now though, paying extra heat for more velocity.
