Purely using new tech. Intended to stay at medium range as second-line fire support, then close in with the HMGs dishing out substantial damage. Eventually swap the HMGs out with LMGs which have more range, but you'll have to use light ferro to make use of new space/tonnage.
This is a great build, I run it exactly as build says. Gotten 800+ damage games with it. MRM's do run a bit hot though.
@HelterSkelter Try this version instead! When I made this I didn't yet realize the CD values are the same up until the MRM40. A 20+10 weighs more, but because you can strip the arm and one MRM20 is less hot than two MRM10, it'll generally outperform 3x10. I've also updated the main post with this new version.
I am running the following setup with a lot of success lately (300LE, 2x MRM20, 2x HMG, 2x ERML), all weapons torso mounted. The version with an extra MRM10 and HMG felt a bit low on ammo for my taste. Switched from the MRM50 Kintaro KT-18 as a first idea for my medium MRM setup to this one. Very robust mech with a solid punch at almost 100kp/h, arms are overrated anyways. Consumables: Cool Shot, UAV Skills (in development still):
I switched to MRM40 (yes, that was obvious) and exchanged the MGs with an SRM6, ghost heat is laughable. Edit: If I am playing together with some more brawl oriented friends, I like to go with this slightly modified version, mainly because the MPLs make it easier to get damage in while circling around an enemy
I'd like to try this: Yea, it's not perfect... for instance, you're likely to loose the mg on your right arm, but I don't think it's worth spending a ton of armor to protect a half-ton of equipment.
