This is the most straight forward brawler I ever build on a DDC, an man this thing kicks some ass. The quirk pass as of Dec 1, 2015 rejuvinated the AS7s as a force not to be underestimated, and they can tank a lot of damage before going down. AS7-D-DC Additional Structure Center Torso +31 Additional Structure L/R Arm +17 Additional Structure L/R Torso +21 Additional Structure L/R Leg +21 Ballistic Weapon Cooldown 5% Ballistic Weapon Velocity 10% Energy Weapon Cooldown 10% Laser Duration -10% Missile Weapon Cooldown 5% Missile Weapon Velocity 10% Turn Rate 25% Torso Angle Yaw +15° Torso Yaw Speed 40% Lots of builds ususally go for two MLas in the arms, but those are used seldom anyway, so I skipped on them completely just to be able to concentrate more on the double shot gun and the SRMs. Skipping the lasers allows for even more torso twisting on top, so use those arms to spread the incoming damage!
5/5, Works better than the AC20 version in my opinion due to better range on the LBX's giving you the option to suppress.
I still prefer the final product of the Chunker https://www.mechspecs.com/threads/as7-d-dc-chunker-2-0-3x-srm6-2x-llas-2x-lbx10-std275.63/page-2 While this version has more ammo, I personally prefer having the slightly higher engine rating and the MLs for poke-ability that does not require wasting ammo. Furthermore, they add just that little bit more umph in the hug-em-up brawl that this build is used to. Artemis is also wasted upon me for I am usually close enough for spread not to matter.
With the current meta and the recent patch to ammo (plus the skill tree nodes that further increase ammo count), you can fit less tons of ammo, strip most (but not all) armor from the arms and fit a bigger engine. Right now, I'm using and skilling this variant
