Allrite, the summer is getting hotter and hotter and Win10 with known higher Temps compared to Win7/8 is coming. So i'm looking for a new CPU Cooler. I want it powerful, but also silent... What's the best bang for the buck on the current market?

Should i buy this one? -> Thermaltake True Spirit 140 Power

Depends on the space available for mounting. The Tt is ~17 cm high which i think is rather tall.
As i was on a small budget i came on Arctic Freezer, this one.
Very low Noise and decent cooling for my i5.

What type of tower are you using? Mid or Full size?

I got a Fullsize/Big Tower lying around, so Size doesn't matter.

The Arctic Freezed was used already in earlier Iterations in the neverending upgrade process on my rig(s), so I'm looking for something better, something new with unique design but also fantastic cooling performance.

The Mugen 4 looks great with those 12 Heatpipes. Should work fine with OC

The Mugen IS great - I plugged it into every PC I assembled during the last years (for my own machines and friend's)...started with version 1^^.....
So its 5 or 6 i've bought so far myself or recommended them and noone ever complained.

Edit: and it fits into a midi tower - with few mm to spare.

Size does mather :) Noctua NH D15 comes in at 1+ kg.. Not sure how it does in stock clock but i set my 3.6ghz to 4.7ghz, volt to 1.4 (from whatever it should be) so it goes up to about 70 Celsius then the fans goes to work and goes up to about 1000rpm.

Just so we are all on the same page; what Windows 10 temps are we talking about here? I run Project Ti Fighter at 4.4ghz at 1.27 volts and it MIGHT see 70 degree when rendering but I'm using a Corsair AIO.

Some months earlier there were some hints from TP users about higher temps in comparison with other OS, also previous Windows Versions. (Here is an Example: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...s/80124251-ed57-4cc8-b678-b8a20d4e443b?auth=1)
Maybe the issues are fixed already for the final launch version. Let's hope for the best.

I found a great roundup from 2 weeks ago for the "Top Tier CPU Air Coolers" at anandtech. Very interesting results:

Noctua NHD-14 or 15 is the highest performance. But is big as hell. Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO is a phenomenal cooler for the price and allows for a bit of OC.

I'm running dual Noctua NF-P14s 900 RPM fans for my H110i GT. I replaced the 43 dB ones from Corsair. Love it!

I owned the Noctua NH-UB9 SE2. It`s actually a small bro of the big Tower Versions with superb cooling for it`s size. It`s an awesome piece of quality, but directly comparing to the big ones the cooling performance is naturally somehow limited.
