Hello, I'm about to buy my second Catapult. (Already have de CPLT K2) I can't decide if i go with the CPLT-A1 or CPLT-C4 :S I want to unleash hell from above but i want some kind of defense if battle gets close personal. Help me choose please... Thanks in advance
I'd go with the C4 myself... The C4 Artillery / Close Quarter Support build (which runs very hot from what it looks like) Or the A1 Cataclysm Load-out. Sadly, it's the only C4 build we currently have submitted but it's a decent blend of long range "rain" and short range defense. It's EXPENSIVE though with all the upgrades and things. Just browse through the Catapult section and see which type of mechs meet your play style and go with that. If you are working your way up the mech tree then you are going to have to us all the variants eventually anyways.
Yea I'm surprised there aren't any other C4 builds, if the heat is an issue with you swap out the LRM20's with the LRM15's and install more heat sinks that will bring your heat efficiency up quite a bit but your artillery fire will be weaker.
