Find the patch notes here: http://mwomercs.com/news/2016/07/1595-patch-notes-1479-19jul2016 Very short summary: Cheers luv, the Viper's 'ere! Viridian Bog is different and prettier now. cUAC10 nerf due to actually working ghost heat. Kodiaks get CT structure buffs to compensate. Locusts lose laser duration buffs. LCT-1V with LPL is less fun. LCT-3M now outDPSs LCT-1E. Decals, for more MC sinkage. MWO now comes with crates for even more MC sinkage. (Hats may be next). Long tom loses 20% dmg and 33% radius Saving builds now works faster.
Saving mechs goes a lot faster now. The more stuff you have, the more you will notice the difference. The Viper is the scout the Adder and Kit Fox wish they could be. The Viper can fly.
I swear to Sombra if next time I hear 3 guys in the same team going "Cheers, Love"... That is worse than 3x Hanzo. Viper is cute.
Ryuuga wagatekiwo kurau!! Someone order me a life. In retrospect I'm sad that I didn't order the Viper, the jumps seem insane, though the available tonnage for weaponry is poor (and the reason I didn't pre-order).
Saving builds is much faster but returning from a game and connecting for the first time takes much longer. In fact because it takes longer to return from a game we are waiting more time than ever before. If you were only dropping in one mech all the time and not changing the loadout in the mechlab the save time wait wasn't an issue. But everyone plays Quick Play etc so now we are all waiting all the time. A backward step in my opinion.
For the people who actually took the time to read how saving builds used to work: maybe connecting takes so long because they check every account if it was eligible for receiving a supply crate
It is a fun mech. TBH armament is fine but forces you to be ultra careful with heat. Down side is the jumping has got me in trouble once on HPG when I landed on one area and promptly got stuck...... cost me my leg to jump myself free.
