Chosen SPL because no ghost heat. With 27.2 dmg alpha strike, it's almost the same dmg as 6 ML jenner but with half the cooldown. 4 alpha strikes before overheating on caustic plains, so 108.8 dmg within 7 seconds. With .5 s durations even glancing for .1 second will deliver 5 dmg, whereas 6 ML will only deal 3 dmg with .1 second. The only downside for this is the range, with 150.2 KMH you should always circle behind the battle and hit them from the back when you're in optimal range (110) before running off to cooldown, and for big mechs to de-aggro. Use seismic sensor to obtain the opponent's location while you're out of vision and pop out for
That's what I use, good build. Just be aware of the very short range and don't act recklessly. Not sure seismic sensor is the best module choice, it only works when you stand still so its very situational (you usually don't want to stand still). Target info gathering is imho a better asset, it helps you react quicker and hit precisely, which is the bread and butter of this mech. If I remember correctly this mech only have 2 mech modules, so that's it with Radar deprivation. Speaking about modules, SPLas range gives you 10 more meters of range, it might look little but that's still +10% and any range increase is welcome. SPLas cooldown also comes handy when you're pushing for dps. No anymore since you can disable the AMS. This was a shitty excuse anyway, the real reason why not mounting AMS on lights always have been you can't waste 1.5 precious tons on a piece of equipment almost useless unless stacked with your teammates' (you mostly don't stay with the pack), not to mention quickly get under cover is your best way to protect yourself against missiles.
Ive been using this build for a while now, and its easily the strongest of the Firestarter builds. Gets 600+ dmg every game. Though a PPC with 3 Splas would also be fun for more range.
A very powerfull build because SPL provide a good DPS. When you are in the back you can deal a lot of damages before overheat.
5/5, Great for Solaris, bit short range for QP and the hitboxes are YUGE, but still gets the job done if you can get close.
