Tried this out as a beefier alt to quad UAC2s and LOVE it! The Dual UAC10s leave you in a real bind if you jam, and while quad UAC2s always keep SOMETHING firing, it doesn't hit very hard and requires constant face time. This is a great blend, giving a quick 30pt double tap, or great sustained DPS from range. Even when the fighting gets close and you want to use the successive fire mode, with 3 Autocannons, jams aren't as dangerous. I went with an XL235 to save weight, dropped the lasers, and upped the armor and ammo. I'm loving it.
You probably still want the lasers just because the uacs are pretty heat neutral. It can be that little boost in damage.
More ammo! But yeah keeping a ML maybe a good idea in case of a long gam where everyone rouns out of ammo you can still shoot rather than go cripplefight.
I am currently using this build and its doing quite well....it would be cool if it were 4 x ultra ac 5"s...but I wouldn't like the loss of armor
