JR7-F RuJennerin? (4x MPLas, 1x TAG, XL300)

    My favorite Jenner setup :)



    Fast lots of dmg and a tag, and the heat is easy to manage. The MPL lasers seem to hit the target a lot better when moving at these speeds to me than the ML. I enjoy running circles around larger mechs with tag on them while spamming MPL on chain fire it annoys them quite well, and if there happens to be a missile boat around it's also fun to watch all those missiles dump on there heads. It also does well against other lights and the ever dreaded cicada (they usually run after the first MPL blast lol)... The build also doesn't have to worry about others with ECM like some of the other variants do. 1 Jump jet seems plenty to me, I do a LOT of aerial maneuvers. But best of all.....:

    I have been experimenting with my JR&-F and 4 MPlas worked out well. Slightly more oomph than 6 LPlas but still more pinpoint dmg as opposed to painting with 6 Mlas.

    I run almost exactly the same setup with slightly different armor, and I trade the TAG for an extra DHS to boost how much time I can fire w/o overheating.

    Its a great build, and I daresay better than the 6x SPL one. Far superior range, superior alpha, and superior sustained DPS. Good times!

    Here's my version in action. I've been rather pleased with the performance of this mech. Once you get the piloting skills and if you pick your battles carefully, you can do quite well with it. Especially when you have a team that is actually working together. Four of these in a lance would be very dangerous.

    If you aren't running the tag and only need 4 energy hardpoints, wouldn't this be one of the few examples where the K or D would be better suited than the F, so you could have the extra module slots or am I missing something?

    You didn't miss anything, only 4xMPLs are better on a JR7-K to benefit from the 4 module slots.

    By the way I find this build (I personally tried many times) way too hot, especially when compared to the deadlier 6xMLs or 6xSPLs builds.
