dont know why its not posted before. but this build makes me win vs a dire wale with ease and is very good at taking out lights too. i do run it with a macro. This enables me to aim my fire like a fire hose and shoot the legs from under a light running at full speed . modules; radar dep. , zoom, UAC/5 speed and range My weapon groops are ; 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6 And the macro is (currently its not been adapted for the last 5% increase in fire speed) >pres key2 >delay 64ms >relase key2 >delay 104ms >pres key3 >delay 64ms >relese key3 >delay 104ms >pres key4 >delay 64ms >relese key4 >delay 104ms >pres key5 >delay 64ms >relese key5 >delay 104ms >loop 70 times macro for a masterd crab; >pres key2 >delay 64ms >relase key2 >delay 93ms >pres key3 >delay 64ms >relese key3 >delay 93ms >pres key4 >delay 64ms >relese key4 >delay 93ms >pres key5 >delay 64ms >relese key5 >delay 93ms >loop 70 times dps (with no jams) 31,85 dps! the amount of supression and DPS is uneaqualed and the 360 ammo count is (just) adequade. the speed from the XL 360 (64,2 km/h) makes it posible to retreat to cover if u jamm. the 660m range (full damage) makes you effective for all maps. you have almost never heat problems. ps i am still in doubt as to reduse my leg armor for a extra ton of ammo.. pps; any comments/remarks are welcome this is my curent loadout; i also have made a second macro, i switch to that one when i want to damage somone but not scare him of (supres him) ore when i want to keep a lower profile (an continious daka daka daka... makes you a bit of a bullet magnet) it is also beter at concentrating damage on a singel spot as due to the very short delay the double salvo acts as one salvo disregard the control and shift...
Too bad you didn't have this done in ADHD... not everyone has mouse software that has macro recording built in to it.
You could easily remove some leg armor...with 57 per leg, you could add another ton of ammo and still have plenty of armor to spare. I've run many a Dire Wolf with a bit less armor than that, and I have only ever lost a leg once or twice (and always to something random, like LRM Rain while NARCed). Generally speaking, you are safe...but you can always use hills and cover to hide more of your legs as well. You could also do something like these two builds...first one has reduced leg armor, the second does not: For the price of 2 KPH after speed tweak, you gain 1.5 tons of ammo with an XL 350. The difference is small enough that it's worth it if you're having ammo problems.
I've been playing with this thing and giggling like a maniac the entire time. What an awesome fun machine to play and if you can dial in your groups it is truly "spray and pray". I had endo on mine but got rid of it, lowered the leg armor to 72 (still a considerable amount) and added that extra ton of ammo. Definitely helps.
i like this mech very hard, so much i bought another 12K MC so i could buy the other 2 to master this one , the sound of 382 rounds per minute going down range is totaly awsome, i do get hit in the legs quite often as my victim usualy has problem with proper aiming due to massive cokpit shake
i'm sorie, but i dont know how to... if u know, and want to write that macro i will include it in the opening post.. tnx for the feedback
Normally, I would agree with you. Absolutely; if this were a brawler. The sheer amount of suppression you can dish out though really discourages people from coming near you. I've had several people ask me "what sort of cannon do you have on that thing Grimm"? They hear the BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM with no pauses and watch Diredouches melt before my onslaught. They wanna be like Grimm. It is only natural, mwahahahahahahahahahahah
Since about Monday/Tuesday my UAC5s have been jamming a hell of a lot. It always seems to happen at the worst time too and then BLAMO 2-3 of them jam. I've had all 4 of them jam at one time too... I believe that they have a % to jam even if it is the first shot. I may have to switch to the regular AC5 because this thing, while hell fun to use, tends to have extremely awesome games and then extremely horrible games; there is no balance to the Force!
4/5, Downgrading my rating to 4 stars. This build is AWESOME and truly devastating.... when everything is working... but the UACs do tend to jam a lot even with a 185ms delay between each shot. I may have to increase that delay but may work with AC5s instead.
I don't run the build (so won't rate it), but I did spend a weird night dropping in match after match with L3mming2, so I got a lot of chances to see how it ran in experienced hands, and came up with this feedback: 1) We learned very quickly to look for his name in the team listing - if he was on our side, he became the mech to escort, but if he was the enemy he became target #1 every time...it is that dangerous. 2) This mech is most vulnerable on TT, Caustic, and Tourmaline - if pushed hard by 2-4 people, it simply can't keep up the fire and cope with the heat at the same time. On cold maps, be prepared to lose at least one person to take this crab down. 3) Aim for the cockpit area with laser vomit and blind the little bastard!!! Dangerous mech, but on hot maps it has trouble keeping up with a coordinated aggressive team. Edit: Forgot to note, poptart builds and quick SRM builds are great against this mech. Basically anything that allows you to get a full alpha out with as little exposure as possible. Laser Vomit builds are the worst to take against it.
just to show what a team asset you can be in this build (and not because i am a litle bit proud of the result ) 1.52 win/loss rate !!
I keep running into people running this build, and just as I engage, the crab suddenly finishes off my teammates, has a teammate join him, and turns toward me. And then...
I don't agree with this. As a generally light and faster medium pilot, I find that munching on the legs of ammo based assault builds are the fastest way to victory. You can shoot the same leg from front and back, so it's a much better target when you're doing a circle of doom on them. If I saw this build I would immediately go for your legs, regardless of how much armor I thought you had there. With only 57 per leg, you're just making my job ezcakes.
You would be surprised how few lights do the same though They become the exception, not the rule, in most matches...even in group queue...
This is the STD engine variant that i use, instead of taking armour from the legs, i took a bit from the arms, they get buffed +17 so it still is more than enough and rarely people go for the claws in KC. Imagine the look on the guy face when he finally takes down that side torso and you are still alive Two drawbacks are: ammo count but if you are not one of those "spray & pray" guys you will find that this is more than enough. Lowered Max speed, still faster than any Direwolf. When it comes to ADHD macro setup: Weapon Group setting: 1 - 4x uac5 2 - empty - you will know why later 3 -1st UAC5 4- 2nd UAC5 5- 3rd UAC5 6- 4th UAC5 Simple dakka with Jam chance ADHD Fire control setting: (just copy-paste to appropriate fields) "Main" tab Fire sequence: 3,4,5,6 Fire Rate: 150 up to 200, for me the best one is around 175 but it also depends on your ping to MWO. "Bindings" tab set the macro Key as a Right mouse button (group 2 button) "Profiles" tab click add to have it saved and name it properly.
