It's not about being viable, it's about sending a message. You merely adopted the LRMs, I was born with it, molded by it. I didn't see the sun until my ammo was depleted. etc. You catch my drift. It's like a quintuple LRM5, but doubled! and much slower and much more fragile and only has 1 MLAS and... *connection broken*. A somewhat more sensible version is also possible. You lose 5 missiles in your alpha volley, but retain the harass with triple LRM5s, more speed, more armor, more heat dissipation, overall better while retaining the sik swermz. Since in my opinion it differs from this build enough, I gave it its own thread. [size=14pt]Click here for the viable 'Iron Man' version!
Wow.. i love the Weaponloadout! I am currently running a lot KTO-20 as Missile Boat and can't stop - a chain of 800+ rounds, trying to break 1K. About this build: I know what your intention was - you did it not because it's a good idea, but because it could be done on the KTO-18! But the Strength of the KTO as Missile Boat is really his Speed, not the High Alpha Volley Power. Without Speed it's like a slow Zombie. Ow btw at 10 Heatsinks it's gonna be SubjectSeven kills SubjectSeven, doesn't matter if Alphafiring or Chainfiring. Though good to see some other KTO-Missile Boat Lovers!
Tried this when I was mastering mine. Was definitely fun and I really wished I had more armor at times and definitely more speed. But it really Rains down da fiyaaaaa! for a medium mech
It's hard to fit anything else with all these LRM10s though I suppose you can get rid of the AMS for more DHS? I considered running 2xLRM15+2xLRM10 but then I could've picked the KTO-19. I needed to use 5 hardpoints and I needed them to be real MAN volleys This is probably the solution for 'sensible people'. You could even go so far as to: Where you have harassment, and/or LRM45 volleys, and more decentish speed.
