Here's the build, and below that, rather than explaining how I play it or how it should be played, I tried my hand at a short story showcasing it's capabilities from an enemy pilot's perspective.

The four medium lasers stopped melting armor as the wounded Mad Dog managed to climb onto the cover of high ground, halting as the pilot tried to find the Spheroid BattleMech through the dense foliage of the bog. When the sensors failed to find anything, the clansman twisted his torso just enough to make sure he wasn't being followed up the incline, when a plume of dust from jumpjets caught the edge of his vision. Backpedalling, he swung his arm-mounted lasers to bear on target when he finally witnessed his harasser; a dark blue Marauder with white accents, two lasers in each arm pod, and a hellacious number of launcher tubes on it's left torso. As the Marauder exhausted the last of it's jumpjet fuel, and was level with his Mad Dog, the last thing the clan pilot saw was a torrent of fire errupt towards his mech.

*Disregard the PPC on the Right Shoulder, the cap is from before I finalized the build.

That extra ERML would be hot! Better pinpoint alpha, though, which can be really important. The MPLs are probably worth looking at though, for sure, since then you could utilize them to focus after you megasplat them. More in line with a single-role build, I think. Have enough spare lasers kicking so I shall try that variant~

    Thanks!

regular ML could also be an option, ERMLs are like 30% hotter. each, which adds up.

    5/5,
I really like this build and I play it exactly as originally posted. The MRM30s work so well for both short and mid range poptarting. The ERMLs work well for conserving ammo and as a great backup for if the ammo does run dry.

    Matches Played: 10 (Solo QP)
    Wins: 7
    Losses: 3
    W/L Ratio: 2.33
    Kills: 10
    Deaths: 5
    K/D Ratio: 2.00
    Average Damage: 571

@rinco Thanks for the rating! Glad it's working for you as well. I still find this the best use of the missile hardpoints on a Marauder, enough so that I wish I could weld MRMs into my MAD-IIC-B for a mixed tech build. X

I personally still run ERMLs since I like poking before I go in to stream missiles everywhere.

    5/5,
Have been running similarly and can't think of another build I'd want to go back to! very effective in QP!

@Excalibaard much obliged, sir! I actually do alternate between ERs and Mediums from time to time, particularity when the QP drops are more consistently about brawling. It's funny because when I play the two variations back to back I go between hating the heat and loving the range of the ERs. That and the sound. IS ER mediums sound dope~
