    My favourite loadout so far. When you're heat is low, you can do a respectable 70 alpha if you double tap. The enemy mech will most likely try to move to cover so you can continue spaming the UAC/5s. With the the right skill nodes, you can continuously fire your UAC/5s when running hot. The HMLs are amazing at finishing off mechs. I find that I win most engagements.

    This mech is a little squishy so watch your positioning and try to dish out damage if you're certain you'll win the trade. I personally strip the leg armor to replace the 1/2 ton of ammo for a single ton because my survival tree has been maxed out.

    EDIT: This build can be made with any variant but the NCT-C will give you a -5% UAC jam chance with the NCT-C right torso.

    Wish I could check on the individual quirks per part, but snafets' reference is outdated. How are the set-of-8 quirks for the C?

    I'd run at least 7 tons ammo total though, especially since you can doubletap.

    Oops, I meant to put 6 tons and not 5.5 tons. I personally favour more heatsinks so I can burn through CTs with the HMLs. I found that ~6 tons is a good amount but only if you have the magazine capacity skill nodes which gives you about 432 shots. It definitely gets toasty with 4 HMLs, but you can definitely afford to swap some heatsinks for more ammo.

    The 8-quirk set gives you -5% LBX spread, -15% UAC jam chance and -10% energy cool down. The jam chance is great but you're limited to 2 energy points in the left arm. You could make it work with something like 2 HLL. You could even do 2 UAC/10 and 2 HLL to maximize the quirks which runs cooler.

    Fair enough, with skills you get the equivalent of 7.2 tons of ammo. Hardpoints are indeed more worth it than the quirks in that case. -% jam chance is nice, but they're still going to jam and it's difficult to feel the impact of chance reductions. I like the alternative ideas and if I get the reinforcements pack after all, I'll surely take it into account!

    In the end I went for 3 UAC5 and 3HML, all in the arms. Mostly aesthetic reasons and it's toasty enough with just 3 lasers. This is right now probably my favourite NCT.

    The -C side torsos provide reduced Jam Chance even outside of set-of-8, so they're pretty good.

    BEtter as above suggestion, only replace LA with prime version, uses 3UAC5 3HML keeping -10% uac jam chance...only loses 5% for another HML (10dmg)
