I've been running a very similar build with 7 flamers and 5 heavy smalls. Runs a lot cooler when you're not able to go for headshots, has a bit of drive by poke / finisher potential, but does not get the theoretical DPS. I just have a hard time seeing 10 micro pulses actually get much of that dps advantage when my 5 heavy small build already runs insanely hot.
