I rarely skip using a TC1, but did. run this: My worse game just posted in the "can't quit you pug" thread this is an amazing build, hate leaving empty tonnage..but...m'eh... cool down/range/seismic, its a stone cold killer, EVEN on long range maps! I just prance around and stay healthy till it inevitably boils down to a brawl
A tale of two mediums: Nova w/ 10smpl/jumpjets, soon to be armless, worthless, dickless. Stormcrow w/10smpl, viable, deadly, and fun, good chance to break 500 maybe turn the game (I even bring the 9 ftp version to CW!) Nova: saddest mech story in the game, and I miss mine.

Rescale would be nice. But it needs major overhaul for quirks/hitboxes. I actually maxed out two, prime and S, then rage sold them finally...THEN bought back the prime after the so called quirks last whenever, and sold it- gave it 25 battles and could not see any real improvements. That was actually the one clan medium I thought would be what the SC became, but I will support your battle cry: FOR NOVA!
Oh, anyhow, the small pulse SC (above) in pugs (well played) is like a knife wielding octopus in a nursery, just insanely dangerous. moreso with the release of some new mechs, and almost any IS mech you'll encounter. Trick is stay fresh first half of game, defend your bigs against lights, then half way go. to. town.
I got 2 novas after the quirks, while I abandoned my S after enough exp to master it but didn't buy the others at the time because there were just no reason. On all solo drops: My B has 18 win 19 loss with 2.45 K/D My A has 13 wins and 19 loss with a 2.48 K/D I would say that for me they work quite well but not able to turn a game and I've only run PPCs, SPLs (8) or MPLs (5) on those, so only the best builds. Not a mech that can carry on his own even if in a group it can be a great finisher I belive, on my SCRs for example, all solo drops as well, I'm 88/52 - 67/54 - 86/79 with higher K/D on any of them...but this was as well from when it was the best tonnage/anything mech in the game without any question. The nerfs hit him quite a bit and while still good I doubt I would have same numbers if I played all games with the current state.
Actually quite huge boost, considering that both STs with energy and head with energy will have no negative quirks again. The final form of the wubbing aberration is finally ready to unleash : Plus hitreg fix...I wouldn't want to be a light mech ermh, I have to change my mind again ahah. Now that this build is possible, 12SL 20 DHS 106,9 speed... /ggclose even without JJs. Same for MPLs build...I guess my nova will be cERPPCs only from next patch (good buff on that too, by the way).
ok, my .02 smpl's 6 in one arm, 4 in the other, now, it gets hot, so, ONE MPL in the head, fill with heat sinks. the lone medium pulse is heat neutral so even a hot map like tourmaline (not hot hot, but hotter) you get your overheat warning on the small pulses-QUIT- and you can hold down the head mpl (mouse 3 for me) and fire it will continue to cool off, while at least giving them a something to think about while MPL churns a bit of damage
