This is exactly how I plan to play this 'mech. Keep at range as much as possible, but have a decent punch if things get up close and personal.
A lot of people are saying this mech suffers from damage magnet CT syndrome so maybe the XL engine isn't the best idea. I personally have not felt this yet but I'm playing a dual PPC build so I can stay out at range and that might be saving me. Its worth trying a standard engine but you may want to consider taking advantage of an XL engine for the weight savings. Edit: Forgot to add that regardless this looks like a good weapons combo. Stay out of range with the PPC and swat whatever comes at you with the SSRM launchers.
