NOTE: I use 4 tons of ammo and less armor than OP build sheet.

Welcome to the BFG Striker! This mech is probably the most popular RHOD Hunchback that you will see in their drop decks. It is a Zombie Hunchback with a 250 STD engine, 3 Medium Lasers and 1 AC20. In fact one of the Medium Laser is in the head, making this a zombie.

This mech was extremely fun to play and you really do have to hustle if you want to get the kills and the damage numbers up there! But it is totally possible to do 500+ damage consistently or 3+ kills in a match. In fact you will be quite surprised at one of the two matches featured in the video.

RECOMMENDED ROLE: Skirmisher / Small Brawler
TOTAL PRICE: 7,743,596 cbills (including STD engine and all weapons/ammo)

    STRENGTHS:
    • Standard Engine = Survivable as a mofo. Even with your RT or LT blown off! Yes you could add an XL engine and increase your speed well into the 90s but why? This mech is already plenty fast and as a skirmisher you want to be able to take a few hits as you get in and out.
    • Zombie Status Engaged! This mech is considered a "zombie" due to the STD engine and the MLaser being placed in an area that can continue to fight even with RA, RT, LT, LA blown off.
    • The weapons systems on board may not look like they do a lot, with a 35 Alpha, but in actuality they really do dish out the pain, especially since they are all matched for maximum damage at

    LOL Umm no, not fake.

Unless I am sitting around with a team of animators, a sound stage, full access to the in game assets and programmers to help me automate scenes.

Hrmmmmm, now that you mention it!!!!

1st of all:tyvm for the nice guides which helped me quite a lot too choose my 1st mech and its config (keep up the good work :))!

my question regarding the 4G: ive seen a few guides in which ppl are using the 4H for this build instead of the 4G - because of the smaller hunch.
Is the difference in size really remarkable?
The 4G definately wins the "style counts"-competition over the 4H but im wondering if its worth for my 2nd ord 3rd HB to choose a 4H and then run it as BFG-Striker in the later game...(my next is going to be a SP but im still uncertain about the 3rd).
Do have any experiences towards that?

slightly.. i would say, regardless of the hunchsize, just escort the bigger brawlers and try to avoid damage! On the 4H i would run builds with some more laserpower, because it can with 5 energy.hardpoints, while the 4G is predestined to run ballistic.heavy builds.

4SP and 4P are my recommendation to complete your hunchpack. ;)

I used a 4H myself because of the hunch side, but I'm not sure it's that a big difference. And I finally came back to the 4G to mount 2 machineguns aside the BFG. I had small lasers on the 4H, it works too.

I don't think you should buy both variants, except if you absolutely love HBK gameplay and want to buy more than the required 3 chassis. Rather follow Blagg's advice: 4H or 4G + 4P + 4SP gives you a varied panel of gamestyles.

I use the exact same build in one of my shadow hawks, (-1 ML +1 AC20 ammo) and that's the only one i never changed since first trying it, it just works :)

I've nixed an entire lance using this build, so it stands to reason that a good pilot (like Michael) can get 6.
