JM6-DD Hello all. I've been piloting this for only around 2 days. It's quickly becoming my favorite mech. I started with a 4X with this build, but I can't stand how low the arms are. The main thing about running a DD mid range build is you need to find ridges where you can only stick your arms above and aim without fear of behind shot back at lol. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! I've gotten like 5 games that were 800-900 damage with like 4 kills. I haven't broken the 1k mark yet though because generally I run out of targets :/ Any constructive feedback is welcome. p.s. I like to not run out of ammo. I pack enough for 1350 Damage.
Triple AC5s are awesome! Tried it in the past and it was simply fantastic. I would upgrade the Engine to at least XL255 or XL265, which have one more DHS integrated, so you can drop the extra DHS to have more Speed btw your build is similar to mine: http://www.mechspecs.com/forum/index.php?topic=2826.0
Nice thanks. I didn't even think about that. I didn't buy a new engine for my dd. I stole it from my spider so i'll have to try that when I get some more $$$$. Sounds great though.
Drop the AMS and 1T of ammo and you can fit the beloved XL300 - the most universal powerplant, fits in most mechs. Keep away of your surroundings and keep close to cover and LRMs shouldn't be much problem at 82kph.
Looks like I sold it. I don't keep engines very long that I think I don't need. I guess I should change that. I started with a 6mg 2 ER laser build. That build is awesome but I like the pure damage factor of the ac5s lol. Thats pretty sweet too. I do so love my ams though. I tend to stick pretty close to my team so I can also help stop them from getting smacked with missiles
I moved to the x3 AC/5 & x2 MLAS build as discussed here and love it. Runs cool and packs a punch. I like the suggestion of using the XL300 as well - I move this engine around a lot and why not into the beloved Jager? 5/5 from me.
