I haven't really seen anyone else piloting this build so I thought I'd share it. This is the perfect skrimisher mech as all around it has excellent speed, firepower, and heat dissipation. For longer ranges the Large Laser helps to soften up targets and at closer range you can alpha strike multiple times with little worry of overheating and still melt through armor. However the drawback is that with it's greatly reduced armor you should always be mindful of what you are up against.

I call this build "the tickler"...you run in, tickle the enemy, ..... and get both arms blown off. One LLas is not enough. The problem here is range. With so little armor, little above average speed, and no jump jets, the worst idea would be a close quarter combat. Its not as fast as a Spider with jump jet. In open maps, this mech is nearly useless because they would shot me dead before i can even open fire with an alpha. I managed to fire a few alpha last night and got shot down as i ran away by a battle master.

Sorry ... Just being honest about what i saw

Maybe you should right down some information about how you use it. Maybe it will look more fun then. Looks like it just isn't intended to solo running, more like running across enemy front line while they're heavily busied by teammates front line.

55% cooling is overkill, and (to me) small lasers feel like a waste of tonnage. The XL320 isn't that common of an engine size (I suspect you took it off of your 3M), and it isn't that fast for a cicada. Lastly, 22 armor per leg is unacceptable.

I say, if you want to turn your cicada into a nastier jouster, do this: It should be able to punch straight through the rear-armor of anything on the battlefield. Also, it does enough damage that you should be able to headshot anything that's shut down.

Try that, see if it works for you (same premise, more flexibility).
