Well. I guess this is something only Golden Boy can pull off, that having said, the other Kintaro variants are way better.
This isn't as bad as you're want it to look like. I took your build for a starting point since I liked the flexibility it grants. Depending on your playstile you probably can get away with 2 tons of SSRM ammo. Those 3 tons of LRM ammo are telling me that you're not storming into the middle of the fight anyway. ;-) Long story short, I made some adjustments to your build, and voÃla... It's pretty good.
I'm loving this thing. I was trying to figure out a good build for the GB, given that it's a lot slower than its sisters. Turns out the LRM with Artemis and TAG work very well in combination with the SSRMs and BAP. The very first match I did 400 damage with two kills. It has plenty of ammo for both systems, and I suspect that she'll shine once I get more experience driving this chassis.
Good times. for me this excels as an outside support unit and D-DC guard; as long as I don't run off like Ronnie Dobbs things go smoothly. I tend to stay out of reach until the ammo dips low. I chainfire the SSRM's vs non AMS mechs to save ammo. I usually hold the 400-500 damage line with this build. Either way, it makes a good wad of cash and is fun to play. ...that 1k damage by my lancemate didn't hurt either
Well I think that putting instead a STD275,adding 1streak,removing the lrm20, and putting 3mls instead of a tag is better.
Due to the change of battlefields I do suggest running with a bit more LRM ammo, you can take some from the streaks ammo patch.
