Will quirks make you buy new mechs?

It might keep me from selling a bunch of under-performers.

 

I learn to not sell mech unless I have a duplicate (or I really hate that mech in some case)
I have a few mech sold and replaced by champion model, mostly due to that free CN9 way back, and a cicada during the 50% sale when it was still a bargain for the XL engine.
So basically I am set.

Is wondering if the bonus also applies to special/limited editions for the same mech, as they should. Yes, I am thinking about founders, phoenix, invasion, sarah, champions ...etc

 

I've been testing out Large Lasers on the TDR-5S(P) and they definitely get the range and cooldown boosts (563 m Range)

 

Sadly my Nova (G) does get the negative arms quirks as it treats it as the (I) version.
