If you drop Ferro-Fibrous armor and pick up Endo-Steel, you could free up some tonnage. Endo-steel grants more tons than FF, and takes the same number of slots.

I imagine these LPLas aren't doing the mega damage they used to per heat scale?

I would think speed would be a priority in this build, given the effective range of your weapons, so I would suggest moving to a bigger engine. Four jump jets also seems a little unnecessary. Dropping down to one or two to free up some tonnage might be an option. You'd still be able to jump-turn and negotiate sticky terrain. Finally, as I've picked up from some of the vets around here, CASE in a side torso with an XL does nothing for you.

Perhaps something more like this, give or take a JJ or DHS (with engine to taste or availability):

As usual, I'm with DarkLobster on this one. Strip the Jump Jets (shed a single tear for their loss), and drop in the XL325. You will not regret the performance upgrade.

Being my usual difficult self, I want backup weapons even if I have to strip out DHS to do it. Because cooling be damned, you're a brawler with an XL engine and you need a 40+ damage impulse to pull your weight.

Because it's my second favorite thing to do (right behind trying to fit a STD300 into everything).

Dragon version. You have to squeeze every last drop of performance out of it, but it can be done.
This build would work for the 5N, Fang, or Flame as well.
