    PGI did a fine job to bring MWO finally to a new level of game experience to conclude the year 2014.

    Ofc the Beta Version is still lacking a lot of things to make it a grande package. There is still lot to do for this new Year.

    So why not collect some nice ideas from our creative MechSpecs Community? What did you like, what do you still miss? What are the important things to add so to expand CW and bring MWO again to a higher level of Gameplay Quality?

    Bring it on! I want to read anything constructive what you enjoyed in the past MW Titles and what you foresee as the next logical steps.

    My first idea is to finally add some storyline/Background info for each mission and clear CW Goals/Achievements/Rewards for each Faction. It's totally flat - every Faction simply feels the same. Where is the difference to play for this house and not for another? Remember what made the classic game so memorable? It's not (only) the grafix, the mechlab options or the realistic battles. For me it was the epic stories, the storydriven battles, the big campaigns which became Legends in my sweet gamer youth which i could talk about with friends and other Fans years after..

    Tldr:
    Big CW storydriven Campaigns for each Faction.

    So what is the next step(s) for you?

    A story mode could do a lot to fit into the one big things I want in-game: An in-depth and highly informative tutorial mode, far beyond the barebones thing that people get currently. A story mode could easily teach people the ropes, but there needs to be something there for newbies.

    I'd like to see the faction levels having more rewards than just cbills. Maybe the higher levels get mechs or faction specific modules?

    I'm grinding the Steiner levels right now and chills are great but I want to feel more apart of the faction.

    Well, they'd already published the planned list of what it will give you. Things like faction banners cockpit items, etc.

    I'd like to see CW get a unified "play now" button that tries to form a match and drop, among all available planets. Then separate group and solo queues in CW.

    I'd also like to see LRMs be LOS only, unless the target is TAGed, NARCed, or UAVed.

    Most of the confirmation windows that pop up should allow you to hit enter to confirm, or escape to cancel. Hitting escape at any one main screen should bring up the options menu. That options menu ought to include "Exit Game" as a choice, instead of having to logout, then exit.

    I mean, basic stuff like that is STANDARD in most modern programs. MWO should join the 1990s at least. XD

    I won't even bring up the mechlab. The basic stuff should come first.

    Cool. I wasn't aware of that. I rarely go to the official forums anymore.

    This would be cool, also maybe add C3 to that as well (with a master unit and slave modules). This would integrate well in to organized team play.

    I agree with this. Let's put those things back to the way they should be, the way they WERE in MW2 in the old days . . .

    I'd also like to see a better UI (which they've already announced is in the works, so, promising!).

    Besides those two (already mentioned) points, I think my biggest wish for this game is more weapons: I'm talking Light PPCs, Heavy/Light Gauss, Laser AMS, Medium-Range-Missiles, Rocket Launchers (basically SRMs only in larger packs!), and even Thunderbolts (the weapon, not the 'Mech!) :D

    Also, on a similar topic, I'd like to see Melee-Combat happen. I want to put a Sword or Battle-Axe in my Banshee's hand, and hack things to pieces! I want to grab that Firestarter as it's running around my feat, lift it into the air, and blast it's CT out with my AC20! I think THAT is the thing I most want to see come into this game: Melee-Combat would add alot of dynamic to this game, and I'd personally like to see it happen. :thumbsup:

    Melee combat would be very cool, and then we could have the Hatchetman and Axeman. :)

    As for those weapons, they will have to advance the timeline first. I think that won't happen for at least a year. So I'll say it here first, they're going to bump the timeline to at least 3060 by the end of 2015, or early 2016. :D

    Can someone explain in more detail what this "Unified Play Now Button" is supposed to do? Not sure I'm understanding that one . . .

    Be able to select "invasion" as a mode in the "play now" button. Doing so finds you an invasion (CW) group on any available planet, then drops once 24 players are found. No ghost matches. Just like every other game mode. Requires a valid drop deck to have been created.

    That way, instead of splitting the CW queue into 50+ subqueues, one for each active planet, there would be one queue. Faster matches. And then solo and group queue could be split without making it impossible to find a match. Etc.

    Ah, gotcha! And yeah, I could see that being handy, as for myself at least (and I think for many others) it doesn't matter what planet or whom I am attacking or defending from; generally, I just want to find and play a match with as little wait time as possible.

    It might also be possible that you give different flavor texts to each player at the beginning of the mission to suggest on which planet that player is fighting. The match score of the player then determines advancement for his faction; probably averaged somehow.
    Yet, you would have to divide the players in Clan or IS teams.
    Example: Your match has 24 players. 4 are Davion, 4 are Steiner, 4 are Kurita. Opponents are 5 Wolf, 2 Jade Falcon, 5 GummiBears.
    Davion players get displayed: You are on a FedCom relief Mission to defend planet Twycross deep in Lyran space. House Davioin sets its trust in you. Fight well.
    Kurita player gets displayed: Clan forces have invaded Luthien! Repell that scum and honor the Dragon or die doing it.
    Steiner player gets displayed: Trell 1 has been invaded by unidentified forces using unknown BattleMechs. Gather as much information as you can while holding the aggressors at bay. Good Luck, Hauptmann!
    Wolf player gets displayed: The next planet on our push towards Terra is labeled The Rock by its spheroid inhabitants. Bring honor to your blood Name by annihilating the puny defenders.
    Jade Falcon, GummiBears: Similar texts.
    The matchmaker can also generate IS vs. IS or Clan vs. Clan matches with corresponding "flavor information".
    Note that there will still be different IS nations / Clans fighting alongside, but from the single player's perspective, its "his" fight.

    Edith says: I would even go so far as to display players' faction/House/Clan not at the beginning, but only at the end of a game. Just to avoid players throwing fights in order to spoil other factions' progress.

    Right, a MW4 Mercs style tutorial would engage the new player into the game immediately, and following up with different intros when selecting a CW faction (depending on the House/Clan) would make it even better. Further going into each CW battle and explaining WHY the certain House/Clan needs the certain mission must be completed would be also awesome.

    Other than things already mentioned: Live cockpit monitors with working graphics... please bring them back or redo them... would make things much more immersive for me personally. Every time I see the mass of blank screens in my cockpit I instantly lose immersion and giggle at how unfinished it is. Something you have to see EVERY game that is completely unfinished and not immesive in the least. PGI pls.
