Saw the complaints about the FS-A with SPL after the quirks and wondered how cSPL are actually doing.

Well, range is surely not great, but if you add a TC5 you get a nice range and crit bonus. Combined with cSPL range and cooldown modules level 5, I found this build to be good fun. First match without having basic skills unlocked: 5 kills, 750ish damage.

Playstyle: run in the back of otherwise busy mechs and wub their ass off!

Yeah, this sort of build leads me to believe that there'll never be the amount of quirks on Clan mechs that the Inner Sphere have. The targeting computer is all the quirks a Clan mech needs. :D

Nice run, build works well in city fights. Was too slow to get that last enemy team Stalker, otherwise I would have reached 1000 damage.
The match gave over 8K XP which were enough to complete the elite skills for the mech. :)

Yes, TC5 gives like +10% crit and +5% beam range.

The TC1 is the best bang for the space and tonnage, and you face diminishing returns from that point on. TC5 is about as high as you want to go. If it's range you want, the range module is a better choice.

But the TC is essentially the clan quirks when you add it to the quirks already on the clan mechs.

With new omnipods, 5x cSPL, TC3 and 13 DHS: looks almost usable !

I WANT to love the TC... but that tonnage investment! :p

  12. Interesting. I may have to finally stop completely ignoring this mech.
At least until Wave III gets here.

You can easily go TC1 and 2 additional DHS, the TC3 is there to add that bit of range, crit and target info gathering speed the build needs, but if you need a cooler mech, it is understandable, and you should use the smallest TC.

I went with more heatsinks since I am still leveing it up and that worked out well for getting Terra Therma.
Ran out of time and their last three were damaged lights.
