Survivable, fast and mean. It has good short range weapons, and decent long ranged ones. I've packed as much into this 'mech as I dare. Enjoy.

Edit: I call this build the aggregate because I've tried so many of the 4SP builds listed here. I took my favorite parts from builds by Zero, Mercutio and Cattra.

I'd probably go with Streaks and an extra ML in the head. Can't begin to tell you how many times I've zombied around with only my last ML left, being a nuisance. That, and I can never really get SRM4s to do damage consistently, so I prefer Streaks and the extra ton you get.

I hear you, but I have the exact opposite experience. Especially with this 'mech. SSRMs simply take too long to lock on for me to use them effectively in a melee.

I am tempted to find a way to squeeze in an extra MLas, but I'm not going to sacrifice my SRMs, DHS or Armor to do it. As crazy as it sounds, once one side gets popped, I use my CT to protect the remaining side. Once you get around the backwards logic of it, it works pretty well.

Yeah, I understand your reasoning, but I can't personally use SRM4's effectively enough to justify it. 4 guaranteed hits with Streaks beats my average number of SRMs on target with SRM4's.

That said, I specced my 4SP to the Streak version of this build as a result of this post.

I'm glad. 2~3 MLases and 2 LLases are the 4SP's bread and butter.

One of the best builds for the HBK-4SP. Awesome Speed and terrifying Firepower and good Range. Full Stars!

Personally, i would go for this version:

It is a tempting change, Blagg, especially since the 4SP is less prone to losing 90% of its firepower. Your version changes the tone of the build pretty significantly (from harasser to assault escort), but still brings the pain.

My modification made with mix of Dwergi's and Blagg Zear' suggestions:

Works good as anti-light, as brawler and as back stabber. In case of bad capping situation can deal with capping because doesn't fear lights and can run from others. Can flank except when you turn around corner and run into 2 enemy lances of heavies and assaults :whacko:. Good C-Bill earner for me.

Similar weapon arm grouping allows you to partly cover.

    Weapon groups:
    1: TAG
    2: SSRMx2, TAG
    3: MLasx2, TAG
    4: LLasx2, TAG
    5,6: TAG

If you don't have double basics of this chassis I suggest you to consider raising Cool. Eff. by raising heatsink number to 12 in exchange for dropping armor thickness and/or engine rate and/or secondary equipment (CASE and BAP).

P.S.: does it have enough difference with original posted build to post it as my own independent build?

UPDATE: I posted it as my own independent build.

I still feel like 2xSSRM doesn't unlock the full damage potential of the 4SP.

However your build is brilliantly put together. It deserves its own thread. I especially love the way you built it with an eye to being torn apart.

But you must admit, that he managed to load a STD250 for impressive Speed with Double LLas! Streaks aren't as strong as SRMs but c'mon, you get Double LLas @90kph! and Cool Efficiency is acceptable though needs a good Heatmanagement.

If you want SRMs, simply drop two MLas for that:

    You mean something like this?

If yes -> sure, if you prefer Armor & Speed over Cool Efficiency, go for it! :)

yes sure. But your free space/slots are very limited if you want to keep the dual LLas
