Anyone who has been with me in a unit knows my distinct love for Large Pulse Lasers. The overall usefulness of those things fits my playstyle perfectly. Good damage, short burn, decent range. Because of this, whenever possible I will build me a LPL version in a chasis. (WHK, DRG-F, BL-7-KNT-L, Jester,...) Especially when there are duration quirks on it.

As such I present you the Marauder iterations. Both in STD and XL versions.
Runs a tad hot. Level them quickly!

Ha! This is how I've been playing my 5D, (with an XL360) based off my ON1-K build. 4x LPLs = 4x LOLz!

Looks pretty fun, I might have to give it the old college try! Anyone try both STD and XL and have feedback on which they like better? Is the surviveability worth going 64/70 with speed tweak?

If you switch on FF armor in STD variant and cut leg armor to 48, you can add 2 additional heatsinks

 

Add an s after the HTTP

 

I had some good drops this weekend running the XL version without ferro of this build..... actually had a lot of fun with it configured left and right arms respectively on the mouse.
pop one arm, then the other and take them down as they turn to run away scared.... very satisfying. can't wait to get it leveled.

Ballz to the wallz! I'm a speed demon.

First off, I don't need too much lift, I'm not jump sniping, so I pull all but one JJ (left for maneuverability and keeping opponents from targeting as easily) and crank up the engine to the max. Keep 16 DHS (4 in engine, one in each arm to crit pad the LPLs) and fill every slot. Max efficiency for the WUBS!

Don't know if I could part with the extra jump capacity though. especially after the drop I had on mining collective where I used them to pounce on the head of the DireWolf that thought had me cornered... I have to say that I am really liking these MAD Beasts so far... Maybe even more than my favored Cataphract's I've been struggling with since I've been back.

 

Never gotten good damage scores with this, but this mech is a Killer.

 

Mastered with this config. Keep the heat under control and dish out the Murdur

I love your build! But I made my own version where I used XL 310 and added 1 MPL for a "just incase my mech is hot" moment.

Weapon group:
1 - 2 LPL (Left arm)
2 - 2 LPL (Right arm)
3 - MPL (Left arm)
4 - 4 LPL and MPL (Chain-fired)
5 - ALPPPPPHAAA STRIIIKKEE IN YOUR FACE!!!! 50 PIN POINT DAMAGE!

How "I" personally play:

Nothing exciting, ALPHA and then cool down a bit, then ALPHA again and if I dont want to risk my self, I just use group 1 and 2 (Click both mouse button at the same time) and then wait a bit then the MPL is he's in range.

And oh yeah, I use Cool Shot 6 and Cool Shot 9 by 9 so whenever I feel like I need to cool down quickly to do another ALPHA IN YOUR FACE!!! I'll use my Cool Shot 9 by 9 or when I just want to use the grouping separately, I'll use my Cool Shot 6
