Oh, that really is sad. Who could have imagined that a stock build could be made worse. Don't get me wrong I love stock builds vs stock builds but in quickplay they don't work.
Build seemed a little sketchy. Then I saw top speed was 83kph and that pushed it into cringe territory
Says you; I normally pull high-damage matches in my stock ADR-PRIME. Some of the stock loadouts work; but most of them are kinda... trash.
How is this for cringe for you only one weapon type will do jockeys Ran this for a while before the gauss reload was added. After that i just didn't feel right.
Maybe that raven was short on money? Had no choice? That's the one thing that sucks about PUG is cuz it's the only place you can really play with no cbills / test loadouts but you are ruining it for your team
I haven't really seen anyone do this... This guy had 0 armor. That's right. He had no armor on his lurm summoner. Amazing. I had no idea that this was an actual tactic people used; sacrifice all armor to give you that extra few tons of LURM RAIN PAIN to win the match! They should put that in the tutorial have Cpt Adams suggest it and everything.
I've seen a fair few builds that make me question life, but I saw one this morning that really made me try to see where the logic for it came from; Seems like a bit of a waste to use a MAD-IIC-A with only 2 ERPPC's and an LB5XAC. Again, no idea on the logic or if there was a specific reason, but here it is.
Probably get more responses if you put this in Cringe Build thread in General Discussions, https://mechspecs.com/threads/cringe-build-the-revival-thread.10271/
Merged I suspect he found the stock build too hot and exchanged 2MPL for more heatsinks or ammo. Still, definitely has a place in this thread.
Why, thank you sirs. I suspect that Excalibaard is correct, I suppose that's one way to modify a IIC on the cheap. Finding a lot of cringe builds these days, so many assaults devoting most of their tonnage to LRMs. Make me so sad.
I'm not sure if this Shadow Cat was just trolling or not; Poe's Law at work, I suppose. Hexa MGs would almost make sense with some real weapons to work with; maybe some cSRMs or something...
HexaMGs work great with something like LPLs or 2xSRM6+AIV, but 2 flamers and a narc? Definite troll detected there. "Can I get a kill using only the most useless (or weakest) weapons in the game?"
I'm sure everyone has seen these a dozen times before, but it doesn't stop my blood from boiling every time one shows up.
I see those every other game. I don't like playing against it at Polar, but it is a good build. As long as people remember that there's more than 'bring weapons' to playing an assault.
You inspired me to try this on a Stormcrow 5x LRM15. Not quite zero armor, but 15 ct, 10 st, 10 legs. It was strangely exciting to play knowing that any good hit takes you out. Oddly, it was decently effective (600 to 900 damage per game).
