I've seen something similar to this on Baradul's videos :)

I prefer a light engine instead personally. 1800 dmg of salvos should be enough.

MRMs are even more fun when you add jump jets and surprise poptart...

With the armor it's worth using the XL. I always take massive damage and often times survive below 30% armor.

I run with 2700 missiles and I can and do shoot dry on more than one occasion. Then again it's why I'm posting 1000K dmg matches so often.

Unfortunately, the IV-Four only has a maximum engine of 290, which limits it to 84 KM / H like 65+ Tonner, but that allows a slightly adapted loadout. Offensively, 20% Missile Cooldown are extremely strong, while defensively powerful Armor Quirks are waiting for the player. Also relatively unique are - at least in my guide - the jump jets - which give him a lot of additional agility.

LE 280 Version of Superman´s Build (no Armor on Arms):

without JJ´s, full Armor on Arms to soak up some dmg (my personal favourite so far):

I confess, my version makes some pretty wild changes:

Putting a standard engine and medium pulse lasers means that you're never going to run out of weapons, and you can take incredible amounts of damage and keep shooting. It also gives you precision to remove components that have been stripped of armor by your MRMs. It's not going to pad the damage count the way MRM 60 does, but it should lead to being able to take down enemies faster.

50% increased murm alpha at close range seems better for killing things imho.

Running enough ammo --> never without weapons :)

    5/5,
Given the Armor quirks, I chose to shave a little with the LE in there and not give up any speed in the XL to LE switch.

    5/5,
LE version is THE build on the chassis. Incredibly sturdy and great mobility with a 60 damage alpha (which is pinpoint when facehugging someone, which you can do because of the previous characteristics).

With the recent hero discount, I've decided to try it out.
    LE290, 2xJJ, 2xMRM30, 4 ton of ammo

My own take is to maximize speed and mobility to reduce MRM spread the fastest way possible. 4 tons of ammo could seem low, but they grant 22 alpha strikes without skills and 26 alpha strikes with full ammo skills. If ammo count will be too low, I'll switch 1 JJ for an additional ton of ammo

    5/5,
Best MRM carrier for brawls. Good alpha at range, very good DPS and tremendous armor tank. It is unforgiving once it reaches brawl range due to lower spread and better thight damage on desired component.
Best used with 2xMRM30, 2xJJ, 3xDHS, 4 ton ammo, LE290 for maximum speed and coolness (or drop 1xJJ for another ton of ammo)

    5/5,
Bought this battlemech during the sale because of this build. After modules still cannot decide on LE280 or XL280 though. Send help.

Rocking the LE290 version with maxed out armour and speed quirks. Seriously brutal machine, and great fun. I'm all about the speedy armour quirk MRM60 boats in Quick Play atm, and I'm just bouncing between this baby and the rather similar KTO-18. Happy times.

    5/5,
Confirming, indeed, that this mech is easymode.

I run it with LT 270 with JJ's.

You've got as much armor as a 90 ton assault, but are smaller and have good hitboxes. You can basically let the enemy get a free alpha on you and your armor is barely scratched, meanwhile, you've probably put 120 damage into him.

I am pretty comfortable solo'ing pretty much any assault in the game with this mech.

    5/5,
    Excellent brawl build
Ooops, didn't know review = reply so my old reply was

    My take, MRM40 and MRM20, AMS, 2xJJ, LE280
MRM40 and MRM20 is one ton lighter, 1 less heat than 2xMRM30
