After seeing Sean Lang's Cicada videos recently I decided to buy one. After some matches I've settled on an XL-275 (it's what I had) 3x LLas. This things works fantastically. It's plays a lot like an ECM laser vomit Ryoken. Excellent build.
Interesting as a mid range laser trader with ECM utility, even more so after the ERLLas duration nerf and lack of weapon module.
_ Maximum cooling to exploit 10% range bonus and -15% energy cooldown quirk. Swap ERLL to standar LL if skills are not maxed.
5/5, An energy loadout works much better than getting distracted by the UAC quirks. With ECM and a long range laser load out this mech makes a good skirmisher. I prefer using 2xER-ML in the CT in order to gain a bigger engine and more heatsinks. With the leg structure quirks you can shave a bit of armour of their without worrying;
_ With april's patch and recent updates, ERLL have a longer cooldown but they also had their heat significantly reduced, which means this build actually need the -15% energy cooldown and still achieves an excellent level of cooling, coupled with 10% range and ECM. The big downside is the quite slow XL265 engine ("only" ~107 km/h), but it's plenty of speed if you manage to anticipate the enemy pushes.
