I've always loved the classic Superchicken build for the 3L, but it just didn't feel like it worked as much after this new patch...so I decided to try something new, with updated technology. So, without further ado, the Mk.2 version, featuring 3 Light PPCs instead of two ERLLs. This gives it a 15 point alpha with an extremely fast cooldown, ECM disabling capabilities, and less exposure. In practice, it allows for a much more mobile Superchicken build, and while technically you're dealing with a lower alpha, the quick recycle on the PPCs means you're putting out faster punches than with the ERLLs.
3lppc is definitely one of my favourite things this patch, I put it on my spider with ECM personally, but ai can imagine the raven carries it very well too.
It felt kinda needed...ravens with ERLLs are WAY too squishy now with the changes to other weapons, so being able to fire and be gone before it even hits is great. Also, you can just chain fire them by clicking at a set pace and the constant ping of PPCs hitting freaks people out. So that's always fun XD
_ One of the best mechs for 15 minute long games. I would consider taking stealth armor and just toggle off when you need the heat dissipation. PGI greatly reduced the cooling penalty of stealth armor some time back (FYI for returning players).
