I tried this out extensively. It is interesting. In the testing ground, with fire control, I could core out the jenner and cicada in about 3 secs, the centurion in 5, the cataphract and catapult in 6, and the Awesome in 7. You can shave a second or two off of those with proper double taps, depending on how lucky you get with jams.

In actual matches, it was the best suppression mech I've played. I'd aim for the cockpit areas for blinding, and the steady stream really panicked folks and sent them running for cover and rolling damage, severely hampering their ability to return fire. Against more then one opponent, it is dicey, as your non targets can chew you up due to your vulnerability while firing.The damage outputs for me where markedly lower then with the quad 5s, though the suppression was better.

All in all I loved the idea of it, and the potential, more then the results. I will keep it in the back of my mind as things evolve, but I'd run the quad 5s and 2 Gauss+1 PPC build over this.

 

I've run this quite a bit. It's a great build for quick play being both good at range and up close. The jam times on the UAC2s feels very good these days with the recent changes. Plus it has better range than gauss rifles now.

If you already have the Jade Kite omnipods, you can left-side stack the UAC2s. Completely optional, but gets you better armor distribution IMO

Good ranged dakka
