This is bonkers. I made it for a lark, because I wanted to see how a Cataphract was with the big engine, and I liked the Chainsaw. What happened was incredible. You now have the speed to outrun LRM's and chase down most mechs. You now have the range and DPS to chew at the ERPPC guys. You now have the torso twist and turning speed to rip lights a new one. Good for closing and ripping apart guys softened up. You give up only a half ton of armour. You now dictate what the engagement range is. Nobody expects you to move like you will. Then you can chop them apart. I'm having a blast.
I was thinking about it later today, that this probably is the closest we'd get to the feel of a Summoner (Thor). It's positively nuts how this thing can move. I'm going to try it with 3 ERPPC's I think later. Maybe some ER lasers and a big gun.
Trust me, just try this build. Tag along with some Dragons and rip some new ones. Your long game just got real.
