51% heat on 2 AC20s with on Caustic now, yikes. Decided to rework the trusty AC40 Jagerbomb.

Use the AC2's until you close to a range where the AC20 and/or Medium Lasers can be used for a kill shot.

Adds some variety to the usual builds which was clearly the idea with the heat changes.

I would run this build. But with not enough armor or AMS, I would have to modify. I have run a similar build on my cataphracts(1xgauss,2xAC2,2ML.). 4-5 Stars.

I love this build. It really hit that niche I was looking for with the Jager and AC20, now that running 2x is very disadvantageous. I didn't think I'd last with an XL getting in close to AC20 range, but I find this has so much punch that you can avoid hits by just bursting down the enemy. The speed boost over the 260 I usually run lets me feel like I can assist team quicker and run in and save the day. I prefer to drop the leg armor to 33, max out the uppers and use 20 for the back plates.

Have you considered 1AC5 instead of 2ACs?(maybe better as an option on the FB) I think it would probably drop your DPS, but conserve heat and give you another couple tons to load ammo. I found I was out of ammo at the end of round a couple times, but then again its really hard to splatter a spider with an AC20 shell, so the MLs work there too :)

I tried the AC5 but vastly prefer the dual AC2s. Been running this build a bit lately and have some consistently solid results:

Fun fun fun. Still do the AC40 from time to time as well, of course ;)

This is my standard loudout for my JM6-S now. VERY hit or miss for me. I've had plenty of rounds in the 600-700 damage range. But, then again, I would have to be honest and say that my true average damage on this build is about 250-350. It's good at all ranges, not great for any. It shines pretty well up close, but, with the VAST projectile speed difference of AC/2s to AC/20s, the leading can be difficult. Moreover, in the 200M range, your AC/2s lead throws off your MLas...

I still really enjoy it, but, it's a hit-or-miss for each round... If you get stationary targets or face-smashers, GOOD-EFFING-NIGHT!! The DPS is just unstoppable. But, leading can be an issue.

4/5 for only that reason. I want to give it 5, I just can't justify the projectile speed difference. :(

However, once again, I do love this build. This is how I run. (just for the engine I have in stock)

Basically, I just move a few KPH slower and have one extra heat sink.

Now that I have an XL260 I'll have to try that version as the extra heatsink would be a welcome addition. And I agree that the velocity differences are difficult to manage but only if you're firing the weapons together against a moving target beyond 180m. The projectile speed differences become too large to hit all the cannons together if it is north of that.

Thanks for the reply! I'm glad some of these creations are being used :D
