I did it! I'm still shaking from how close that match was, but I did it! The loadout (which I swear by) Your build is a godsend, Blagg. Just mixed it up a bit for better cooling, since I hang around everyone else with AMS.
I honestly feel like this chassis is desperately underestimated and under-represented in the community. It's my most played Mech at this point, and while it certainly also has my most DEATHS, some practice, understanding of twisting and when, your role on the field, and applying yourself, and the Awesome can really rock faces. It's like my goal to show people in this game "Look. I'm an Awesome pilot. And I do well in this chassis. You can, too."
This match was really awesome :-D I was able to unload all my missiles and i even brawled with some mechs at the end of the match. The map was Alpine Peaks. Was killed by a sidetorso hit from a dual-gaus-Jager 5 sec. before ending.
Id probably had a better chance of winning this if matchmaker put me up with 11 defensive turrets instead of 11 "teammates", but anyways... For me AWS-8R is currently the best LRM-boat in game
So I was roaming and pugging around in my CTF-3D today, and I met this beast on the enemy team: I don't know HOW he did that. He ate alot of my 2xAC5 + 4xMLas while I circled him, along with many other of my lancemates hitting him. He just didn't die. I think he had a PPC, a LPlas and a MLas. That was all. He must have had an aimbot or stuff. That was hilarious.
So this just happened. Highest damage game ever. Thousands of drops. And I did it in an Awesome. Gunned down the last enemy with 3 tickets remaining before they hit 750. What a match. And this was without LPL or MPL range modules. O_O
