D-DC Variant of my AS7-D Predator build. UAC5's and MPL's work well together. Good heat management, and 4 module slots allows you to carry double Coolshots just in case.

Very swift, 62KPH Atlas build that's designed to run in a pair with either another Ghoul, or my other AS7-D build, found HERE
When Paired, the UAC5 chains provide enough target suppression to allow this pair to steamroll over just about any competition you might run into.

Swift, ECM, DUAC5, what else do you want from me?

If you'd go with the STD 350 and regular ML you can add another ton of SSRM Ammo and more DHS. You'll then won't need coolshots, but could go with some useful modules. Seismic + Target Info Gathering + Advanced Sensor Range + 360° are a nice combination for a brawling Atlas. With SSRMs the TIG isn't that great as with SRMs, but you've still got DUAC + ML for exploring unarmored zones.

    Here's the improved build:

I think that mechs like the DDC are perfect for using DUACs, but I think that there should be stronger secondary weapons on a 100t mech. In particular I am not liking those Streaks and would rather take 3x SRM4, and this is possible just by removing some armor. 2x LL instead of 2x ML could also be considered (and this is what I am running at the moment), but this would require a smaller engine as well.

I'm with you 100% on this in normal situations. But in reality, and in competitive play, the SRM's are going to be hard to land simply on the matter that you're not going to see many other big slow mechs to fire SRM's at. The streaks will scare off any lights that try to come at you. Honestly you will never need more than 1t of SSRM ammo for 3 streaks. I've never burned all my streak ammo, ever.

My usual Module loadout is 360 retention, Seismic, TIG and a Coolshot. Run in combination, the TIG and Beagle make target information almost instantaneous anyways. Honestly you really don't need to worry about exploiting open armor zones simple because with the MPL/DUAC combo you can make your own by focusing on the weak spots of most mech modules (RT for most heavies and assaults, to neuter the ballistics)
