    NICE setup OP

Why keep so much armor on the legs... could swap some around for other gear / armor spots.

Just a sugestion.... I can't remember EVER being legged in any of my Awesomes.

If anyone notices, you will be.
Heavies and up - don't go for legs... UNLESS I see them red. Red legs are easier to get through than green/yellow torso. Those are big fat slow moving targets and I hit the same "spot" as I circle.

This seems like a cool setup for me too, but like someone else already said, you could try and swap some armor from legs to the upper body which is more vulnerable in the heat of the battle.

Just an observation that this build has full maximum armor, so no swapping to upper body allowed.

definitly one of the best 9m builds out there even you can remove some heat sinks and replace the xl engine with a standard one, and add a srm 6 into the arm.

The pilots I usually run with and I often target the legs of heavier 'Mechs because so many people go light with their leg armor. The consentrated fire of two or three light 'Mechs tear them up pretty fast. The entire length of the leg is the target box, so it is much easier to hit when moving in excess of 100 KPH. Just sayin.

I know what you mean, Myth. I typically remove armor from my legs first, but I won't remove more than a half-ton per leg (basically I round down to the nearest half ton or ton to make the build exactly the maximum weight). At most, this means 7-15 armor down per leg. On mediums I try to spread it out and on lights I full-armor the legs.

However, I've seen some builds that put like 15 armor on each leg. That's just asking to get crit by a stray AC/20 shot.

Im with vergere, why normal hs when u can do with doubles and a bigger engine, plus i was thinking the same loadout when i saw this post but with the difference i put an AMS and less armor (half ton less only) and of course one ton of ams ammo instead one SRM ammo.

I decided to get in on the action as well. All I did was change your singles to DHS and swap a MLas for a LLas. Make sure you chainfire those LLas

    @ All

Is there a special reason why you all dont go Endo-Steel?????????????????????????????????????????

The Weaponsetup of this build is OK, but the OP Config is crap, because it doesnt push it to the maximum potential.

    Here my version:

Blagg, you don't have enough DHS. My mod has 22, and your's has 19. You do have a larger engine, but that won't help you when you overheat.

Yeah your build runs cooler, mine 5+ kph faster and has AMS. You wont overheat as fast as maybe i do. But you must soak more damage than i do..

this mech is a barn on legs. your going to soak enough damage to make WW2 look like an accident either way you run it.

    4/5,

Good build. But with an XL Awesome are in danger no ? With 2 SRM in torso and one laser in the head you have a perfect zombie.
