Of all the builds I tried so far, this build allowed me to achieve the highest K/D ratio compared to other mechs. This is because of high survivability, speed, as well as damage output.

It has the standard engine, so it is perfect until you can elite the Victor chassis and get an XL engine afterwards. Getting an XL first in not a good idea. It costs so much that by the time you will be able to buy a second Victor, you will have so much XP on the first variant that you won't be able to spend it all even after mastering it.

    Build summary:
STD 320 engine, the default one
    2xUAC5
    3xSSRM2
    2xMLAS
    BAP
    DHS, no additional heatsinks
    Endo-Steel

    Pros:
    - Relatively high speed, allowing to quickly get where you need to be and get the kills / cap points, or disengage if the situation turns dire.
    - Jump jets - jump over enemies at close range, climb the hills which stop other assaults, etc.
    - UACs are perfect all-around weapons, allowing you to chainfire one shell after another at most ranges. Now they don't jam as much as they used to, so they are perfectly usable without a script. They are also a lot more forgiving for missing a shot, compared to AC20 or Gauss.
    - 3 SSRM2 allow you to kill any lights that will be stupid enough to stick around. After getting a third srm volley most lights either flee, or die later if they stay ) BAP ensures that you get the locks on ECM mechs. Plus, 15 guaranteed damage on a mech without the need to aim and low heat generation is always a plus.
    - STD engine means that even you lose a torso you will still have half of your weapons. The loss of right torso hurts more though, as UACs are your primary damage dealing weapons.
    - Low heat generation, you almost never overheat, except maybe if you decide to brawl in the center of Terra Therma map.

    Cons:
    - light armor compared to other assaults, STD engine means that there is no tonnage to take full armor. But the speed makes up for it.
    - no additional heatsinks, that means no padding other components to prevent criticals.
    - better players like to shoot your right arm, watch out, and you are better using your left MLAS arm as a shield
    - no AMS. However you don't really need it if you have map awareness and don't run alone out into the open.

Usually if I live long enough to run out of UAC ammo, that means that most of the enemy team is already dead and we just need to kill some stragglers, most likely lights, for which ssrms are a perfect choice anyway.

If you play right, you will get at least 400-500 damage and several kills per match. This is not Jager numbers, but you are mostly limited by the amount of UAC ammo.

Downgrading STD engine to get more UAC ammo is only justifiable if you already have that engine.

XL version is what I will probably run when I actually get it, massive speed upgrade is always nice.

Downgrading the armor so much is not justified, unless you are over 100kph. You could drop one JJ, 1ton Ammo and CASE for having acceptable armor values.

Dropping CASE will nullify the additional armor, since your CT will be damaged by ammo explosions from RT. You will also loose your right arm faster for the same reason.

125 UAC rounds is not enough for 2 guns, you will be running out of ammo pretty much every match, 150 is what I determined to be the absolute minimum, I would have put even more if I had the tonnage.

Taking 1 JJ out is an option, although I again wouldn't do this, as it will limit your jump height, which on some maps, as well as in close ranage fights, will be a disadvantage to you.

I dont know if you actually have seen into my smurfy link. I have 1ton in head and another in CT. If you r not unlucky you should burn through those 2tons very fast resulting no Ammo in Torso. You r right about the amount of ammo, but dropping too much Armor to have that extra ton is not justified. You could better play a CTF-3D if you want more Ammo. I play an Assault because of the plus of Armor. And since you dont have enough free tonnage dropping the second JJ is ok, because its not a Sniperbuild.
