What other Online Games besides MWO do you else play?

S7, I would love to play too! I play all MOBA's, along with MWO. DoTA2, LoL, SMITE. All are good in their various aspects and differences

 

I'm looking forward to HotS:

Playing WOT again a little after... 2yrs? Last Month the Game got a new Major Update: Version 9.0 -> replacing the old Engine by the newest Edition of the Havoc Engine! making a huge Leap in graphical Beauty. It's really nice. Besides the new Update adds more Content to the game.

But in the end i like to play MWO much more, because most times in WOT you die within the first engagement or in other words: 1-2 Hits and you are dead! At least there arnt any Jumpsnipers.

And another good thing is -> Matchmaking System finds within some few seconds enough Players to fill the game and so - waiting time is nothing like in MWO.

 

I've given quite a few other online games a try:

Final Fantasy XI (Played for 10 years and is my favorite online game to date.)
Final Fantasy XIV (Played for a year but it's too repetitive.)
DC Universe Online (Liked it but not enough content.)
Infinite Crisis (Didn't like at all.)
Marvel Heroes (Liked it, but don't like the fact you HAVE to use mouse & keyboard. Doesn't support control pad.)
World of Warcraft (Didn't like the mechanics.)

So FFXI was my favorite of every game I tried. Had a huge population, amazing control scheme and great mechanics. I've stopped playing it (since a year ago) because I was never consistent enough to be a "top tier" player and with content coming out left and right it was too hard for me to catch up, let alone keep up.

 

The only online game's I've played recently are...


Monaco (Fun, but you really need buddies to play it, and it's all CO-OP)

and

Civ 3 (We usually play it like a normal MP game, but our last game we just wrapped up was the play by email method, took 6ish months, but at least I won! Take that Gandhi!)

Starcraft 2 is also there, but it's been a while.

 

Path of Exile... Now that's a fun game.

A skilling system that makes any build imaginable viable. Compared to D3 where you run around with your cookie-cutter "build" and replay a story that's really only playable once.

D3 was such a waste of $20 dollars...

 

Playing D3 Reaper of Souls atm.. it was not a waste of Money imo. The Original Release Version of D3 was crap. But the latest Version is absolutely addictive and finally in a state worthy to the best Hack'n'Slay Game. So many Boss Monsters and the Loot System 2.0 is fantastic. Besides the new Nephalem is awesomely cool and powerful. Give the game a new try, you will have a completely new experience with it. PoE is on it's own style great, but it`s different from the classic D2 Skillsystem. I enjoy both games.

 

Ok, over the last days i played D3 with the newly bought Addon from Zero to Max Lvl with the new Champion. It`s absolutely addictive and awesomely brutal fighting big Mobs of Demons and ofc to farm for better and better legendary/set items/recipes. And the new fifth Act is WOW! Very cool and gloomy. Perfect Atmosphere for the new Super Boss Villain. High Recommendation! Everyone who still says i bought D3 and it sucks, doesn`t really know/tested the new updates/features.

Hope it has enough new Content to justify the Price of a Full Game and not just like a big DLC.

LoL was fun although I never got into it heavily. But I've been playing Smite every day for the last couple months. Just bought the new Swagni skin. MAKE IT RAIN!

 

Since this is an LoL update thread, I must report I made it to Gold 5 a couple weeks ago, trying to carry myself to diamond

And smite is bad ass. Haven't played it in awhile however. Kinda lost my interest a little bit for whatever reason.

 

How long ago did you play? I know a lot has changed since the official launch. I've only been playing since April 27th and a lot has changed since then. Several new gods (56 total as of this post), siege mode, epic skins, conquest meta changes, etc.

I played a bit of LoL a year or so ago but I still consider myself a MOBA noob and tend to avoid conquest. I could probably play and be fine at this point but I want to make sure I know what every role is supposed to do before I get too far into it. Don't want to piss off the random people the game matches me with. >_>

Oh I see. You said "in a while" and to me that translated to several months. As in, I haven't played MWO in a while... lol.

You should give it a new try with the Doom Bots Mode. First Time Coop VS AI challenging. I still have to win the third difficulty lvl but even the second is badass of hell. Imagine Blitzcrank is invisible like Teemo and Wukong has the Ulti of Le Blanc. It's so crazy to see in Action. And the Bots go for Dragon in perfect timing and when they start to gangbang it's such a spectacle to see all of their insane Ulti Mix explode simultaneously. I usually play Solo Top and rape two Champions with ease but in this Mode you better got a teammate to back you up. But very good Training!
