Finding this mech with the massive engine capacity begged for it to be used as a high speed medium mech that was capable of devestating short range combat, dodging in and out of larger mechs, but not sacrificing armor, and most of all not sacrificing dps.

1x AC20 for the devastating punch
2x SRM4 for a equally devestating short range punch
STD255 Engine For reliability and respectable speed

Armor is mostly moved forward for combat readiness as this mechs speed and mobility and size will keep almost all mechs if your capable off your tail.

So far I don't miss the Jump jets that I had previously installed the mech feels great and I don't feel like I need the extra mobility

~Updated Build with tweak to Armor placement after testing.
Ammo Amount seems fine, as long as you conserve AC20 Ammo, If you choose you can remove one Streak in favor of another 7 rounds

Not enough ammo after testing for the 20 or the streaks. I might try a 260 to increase the ammo.

260 wouldn't fix the ammo because of the slot requirements.

I've been tinkering with it I haven't been able to pin a easy solution to getting more ammo I found was this Downgraded to a STD 255 Engine, and Sacrificed the JJ's to give it much more ammo capacity.

Tried this build with the extra ammo, and its been working beautifully, Love it, very tough, and can sustain

Updated it slightly moving around SRM4 to 1 in Shoulder and 1 in Head to give a littttle bit more sustain in case shoulder were to go down which does happen and that extra SRM4 could be life or death.

Also Covertly because the head on the Shadowhawk is actually a pheasible size and to account for now having a weapon in the head I've moved some of the leg armor to maximize the head armor to hopefully alleviate any rare headshot scenario's

So far averaging about 400 damage per match with the above setup. Usually death is from Central Torso destruction ~ Frontal. So Thinking would it help to move 4-6 armor from back to front?

I am running basically the same build but a STD 250 and I have 1xML in the arm, easily between 400-600 per match with multiple kills.

I am finding it's a real finisher, if you don't engage early the firepower you bring in the later game can be killer.

Have to conserve ammo and I like your idea of moving a launcher to the head slot instead of both in the torso.

Seems to be a really solid brawler.

On note of the brawler shifted armor forward to enhance this, finding that I can always keep my situation awareness high enough I won't get flanked or hit from behind, specially given the larger STD engine, mech could definately handle a laser and some other setup just feel like maximizing its mobility still though.

Also updated the AMS version dropped down a engine size to maximize the armor, because I felt like it was unnecessary speed boost for a unacceptable drop in survivability.

I dropped the head SRM4 to a SRM2 and added in 2xJJ for the extra mobility.

SS was from a match were I got on top and flanked and rained down AC20 death from above.... I frickin love this mech!

Interesting I was pretty keen on trying to keep JJ's on it what engine are you using, and is there AMS etc?

STD250, goes 73.6 (cannot WAIT for speed tweak) and does not have AMS..... I'd like AMS but cannot fit in the 1.5 tons for it without getting ride of the SRM2 and .5 armour..... which I might try out to be honest.

LRM boats can be a pain in the ass! I hate running any Shadowhawk without JJ, it feels like a big part of the mechs strength is the maneuverability that you get with JJ.

Seems like a fun build to try, but hard to defend from the many lights running around?

Not necessarily true, the AC20 destroys most lights as long as your good at twitch firing which this absolutely needs is good AC cannon control since its by far your primary weapon.

I didn't feel like JJ's are essential, it would be amazing to try and squeeze 2 on but it would be very tight.

Might be able to make a AMS version that has 2 JJ's but speed would be affected a fair bit.

SHD makes a "Decent" brawler but always have to keep in mind it IS a medium so your by far not invincible, so moving in to sweep is far more effective then going toe to toe with a heavy or assault.

Though Remember how accurate that AC20 is being right by your crosshair, can literally point point cockpits with that thing

At first I bypassed builds like these because I can't imagine a completely ammo-dependent mech and it seems like it would be a boring, one-trick pony. However, after trying 3 other builds for the 2H and not being satisfied, I gave this a shot. It's actually pretty fun and a change of pace to take potshots and watch your 'components destroyed' go through the roof. I only modified it slightly because I think even just 1JJ is important, esp if you get bunched up with the group you can still pop up and blow off an arm.

Only slight tweak to your build:

I like to have a little armor on the arms just so you're not smoking after the first engagement. SRMs are really only fired if I get caught out waiting for the ac20 to reload.

Here's my take on it. I already had a STD250 from a Hunchback and I like the SSRM and MLA for extra versatilty. This build also allows 4 tons of AC20 ammo and 2 jumpjets.
