I am a poor bastard, so i got this mech instead of a DDC. I've played around with 3x SRM4 as well. But i find it too hard to aim torso and arm weapons separately. The speed of a 350XL is very nice. It makes your Orion run 83 kph. At that speed you can keep up with a lot of mediums. Now i can't decide if i would like this mech more without artemis. 2 more tons for a heat sink and a ton of AC5 ammo looks nice since i still over heat and run out of ammo regularly. The damage output is kinda ridiculous. If you'd just suicide into the enemy team guns blazing, you'll still score 300 damage.
I don't really like the lack of weaponry on it, considering you run like a medium, but also hurt just about the same as a medium. I say do as your weight class allows you to, especially when you've named it a "Mini-Atlas", but lack the defining capabilities of what makes an Atlas... Well an Atlas. For example, running fast and having the weapon loadout of a lower weight class. Maybe try this for a change?
